- In this video we go over some tips and tricks regarding the installation of your DoveDOT Mounting Kit by Dove Adaptive Mounting Solutions. These tips have been collected by our staff from our various law enforcement partners and customers over the years.
Been debating on whether to go the dove dot route or purchasing a mos slide for my 17gen5.. i was worried about the installation and durability between the 2 but this tutorial just sold me on the dove dot. Purchasing it soon as i finish this comment. Thank you
Just installed one and this is the best one I have found. Especially the fact it came with a front fiber optic sight for co witness
The dovedot i have on my glock 43x is amazing. holds zero for years and very low profile. didn't even add lock tite on the tail either, i missed doing that first time around but will in the future if i need to on a future gun but will most likly just buy mos for now on as i got my glock for really cheap before the mos was out for only 200 with a finger print case from my dad.
I love this idea of this mount, biggest problem is only one footprint! No Doctor or RMR??? Make a rmr plate and I will be in for 3, with the night sights!!

Do y’all know how much the public is in need for an optics ready slides for the m&p 9 just because of the sights in the front of the optic? I been grumbling to all the manufacturers for m&p plates that they could’ve raised the “gas block” up to an iron sight. And it would’ve been golden. They said it was a good idea. RMR footprint mounting plate with irons sights on mounting plate on optics ready slides is still not around is beyond me. Not everyone wants to hammer in their Dawson precision or Trijicon or whatever co-witness co-witness rear sights with a hammer on their optics ready m&p 9 slide.
Did you forget the screw that goes in the middle of the dovetail mount after measuring it with the caliper and before mounting the optics?

do yall have one without the rear sights on the mount? Yall are probably the lowest profile ive found, but personally, this is my own opinion, i'm not a fan of the front sights infront of the red dot sight. thanks

@@Prepppingainteasy we recommend having a gunsmith install this for you then
I used a Wheeler Universal Bench Block. I do have a vice but chose to use the bench block because it is made from a hard non-marring plastic material. It worked well. Best follow Dove's instructions if you don't have a lot of mechanical experience.
