Dalaran was only raised from the ground during Wrath of the Lich King in WoW. Things you missed: the ogres from the intro can be found and slain for a potion of healing and a sheep can be killed nearby for a bracer of agility. You can bully the villager Garglemel into giving you a potion of healing. A red icon means the unit if affected by a debuff such as net or purge. A scroll of protection could be found from the bandit camp. You can't micro the Regional Defenders footmen before all the skeleton archers are dead, but you can still heal them to prevent them dying. AoE spells usually do damage to your units as well. You can easily distinguish blood elves from high elves; high elves have blue eyes and blood elves green eyes. Blood elves did not exist before Arthas destroyed Silvermoon and Quel'thalas. You missed a mantle of intelligence on the southern path. Another post for another mission.

the only thing i am burthurt about right now on this let's play is the lack of looking around like he missed the rilfemen part and the fire orb that i would say is the best item in the human campagin.
The best item in the human campaign is Frostmourne, no competition.(i know, it doesn't technically become an item)
fire orb is the worst orb in the game, it only does 5 points of splash damage, not your hero's attack
buhlayke maybe worst orb in the game but do you even find any other orbs in the human missions? if not you're still being silly.
silly? it's a garbage item, just because its an orb doesn't make it MUST HAVE. I'd rather have a scroll of healing for 150-250 hp on all of my units.
You find an Orb of Frost in Northrend. That is the best RoC orb in the game
during what mission i must have missed it also nah i rather stack up all orbs and claws i find so your hero hits like a truck in the last missions.

Tip: the heal can be used to deal damage to Undead units. U can heal them to Death :D

Interestingly enough they were also called blood elves when they were with the alliance. right up until the part where Grand Nerdshall Garithos does that thing to that guy (trying not to spoil stuff for people who haven't played the frozen throne expansion of warcraft 3) they were still with the Alliance, and by that point had already started calling themselves blood elves.
kopitarrules Correct. They changed from High Elves to Blood Elves after Arthas' invasion. They were still with the Alliance until Garithos. Personally I think that was a major screw-up in lore. Who the hell forsakes old Alliances over how many years just because of 1 racist. Stupid.

You have to remember too at that point there wasn't much left of the alliance to forsake. The scourge had essentially decimated 5 of the 7 human kingdoms, 1 kingdom had walled itself off from the world, and the dwarves gnomes and the only remaining human kingdom, stormwind, were a looooooooooooooooong way away. Garithos was as ***** says one F'd up genocial racist supreme, and he was in charge of all alliance forces for the entire northern half of the EK. Awful tough to remain 100% loyal to the alliance at that point, especially with what transpires in the game. (still trying to not spoil this for crendawg who has not played the campeign before.)
Besides the elf that really strengthen the bonds between the queldorei and humans was aleria snce she had done many deeds for the humans and the alliance (i think)

I find crendor very entertaining to watch when he plays games ive never played myself.
on the one hand i find it nice to watch the old story again cos he doesnt take 40min to complete each map but rushes right thru.. on the other hand ye he s missing out on a lot of loot and stuff

It is really cool to watch this after watching the movie and playing some HotS. Finally learning the lore before going into WoW :D
Crendor, some tips:
•Smash crates that you find on the ground to get treasures.
•Blizzard can hurt your own units (which you noticed) and because you're often dealing with melee units, it would probably have been better with a tier 2 water elemental.
•When you can't heal a unit try to pull it back so they don't get killed

I think one of the biggest things to remember is that not only did Crendor record like the first 6 or seven of these before he posted the first one, so QQing about what he missed will not alter future behavior, He is likely going much faster and skipping side content for the simple purpose of presenting an interesting video. I mean really would it be an interesting video series for all of us if we had to watch as Credor spent an hour on a mission getting blacksmith upgrades and lumber mill up grades and turning his towers into scout and cannon to provide better defense? While I would certainly watch it and be MUCH entertained, I am certain Crendor doesn't want us to have to sit through him talking about tea, asking how you doing 15 times and rambling on about lore he doesn't quite know yet for 20 minutes, which would just lead to more QQ in the comments. Let's all just sit back and enjoy Crendor playing though a wonderful game, shall we? (besides if we QQ too much about missed missions he might not do the whole series in front of us >.
Well said. People don't seem to know how to make suggestions except through bitching. If casual play is that painful for someone to watch, why would they keep coming back?

Few pro tips: You can set up waypoints from buildings onto your heroes. Select barracks, right click Arthas and new footmen will automatically run to your party. Also put your barracks in a control group (like 4, 5 or something) so you can access it remotely. Explore the map, there is a ton of hidden stuff and stat boosts that will carry on to the next mission and try to use hotkeys for hero abilities.
Back when the setting made sense, Elves were Alliance members.
I'm actually really enjoying this nostalgia trip and I'm looking forward to you uploading each segment of the playthrough. Thanks for this Crendor :-)

Lol, they were High Elves at the time, and part of the Alliance, but briefly went neutral because the Human kingdoms kept bickering among themselves. As you can see here, they were still close friends to the Alliance, as they had been for 3,000 years. It's a complete and utter joke that they went to the Horde in WoW, yet now most people don't even know they have a history unless you do the Strom'Kar quest where it's mentioned briefly. They went from being cool, to the Horde's pretty race and local magic-addicts. What a sad turn of events.
Yeah like you noticed in the video crendor blizzard does hurt your own troops, but so does all AOE spells in wc3. also troops like the alliance mortar team have a small splash damage effect that hit your own troops as well. Be cautious when using any AOE in the game. Also those Blood Elves you encountered were actually high elves who were part of the alliance at this time, if you play the frozen throne expansion you will get their story and why they abandoned the alliance and later joined the horde in WoW Burning Crusade.
Andorhal can be found in Western Plaguelands. Arthas' Reign of Chaos missions are after the intro sort of thing to Naxxramas, which tells you how Kel'thuzad fell and went to Northrend. Things you missed: the entire southeastern portion of the map, which would have contained forest trolls, a Goblin Merchant, gnolls, murlocs, golems and another gold mine. North of Andorhal there would have been another Goblin Merchant. If you had attacked the cage in central Andorhal, a ghoulified Timmy would have come out and he would have dropped a ring of superiority.

I'm gonna let ya finish Crendor, but the High Elves are a hundred times bettah than the Blood Elves, and they were Alliance.
"blood elves" nope high elves, the survivors of the Silvermoon raid by the Scourge became the blood elves.
I'm actually glad that Crendor is speedrunning this (since a lot of us watched Husky too), but the lack of actual (non-WoW) lore is obvious :X
btw Arthas dated Jaina before she became a mage IIRC.
This is such a great series and it is just going to get better and better! It's going to be even more awesome later in the game when things really get interesting.

Original Dalaran was on the ground, before being moved to Northrend in WoW. I actually was surprised first playing WoW, that Dalaran still exists. I remember it being destroyed by Archimonde completely in War 3.

Crendor, aside from the fact that you can break boxes for loot and explore the map for hero xp and quests, the game has friendly fire. Jaina's freezing shards skill (or whatever its called) damages your guys too

Really enjoying this series. Wish I'd waited until there were more episodes before I started watching though.
dear crendor, open your quest log at the beginning of each mission and throughout it and please explore around the maps to find the optional quests, I don't believe any of them are particularly important to the story but you'll get items that will make later mission easier (your hero's level an inventory carry over from mission to mission so the experience is good to get too)

Crendor I wanted to aid you in this. Blood Elves you know today were once known as High Elves and were a part of the Alliance, after the Third War aka the whole Scourge destroying everything thing they lost their source of power and became Blood Elves and later joined the Horde.

Tip: You can click on the portraits within the group to see spells that can be casted by heroes. Don't need to group them or select individually.

Crendor, I recommend taking a few minutes to learn some shortcuts - they'll help immensely in the later campaigns. Most of them are highlighted in yellow in the tooltips. I think you can use Control or Shift to add units to your current selection. Also, you can use Tab to cycle through heroes and different types of units in your selection.

I don't know how many times I replayed the campaign. Watching this makes me want to do it another 56th time.
Crendor, any spell that targets an area of ground will hit both enemy AND friendly units, so watch your targeting! Also, if this wasn't clear, items in your heroes' inventories carry over between missions, so you REALLY need to be collecting stuff like that +3 Int mantle! The later missions are going to be much harder without them!
Watching Crendor repeatedly blizzard all his units is...kind of wonderful.

I Enjoy this series Crendor. Playd the warcraft 3 games,lots when i was a kid. It made me start playing wow.
So really brings back memories when i watch the cinematic and you playing the game.
Hope you do the expansion too. But im not saying you have to. :p

Aside from missing things, you also don't use all your abilities, defending would have helped against all of those towers, use dispel to kill summoned skeletons and you can summon water elementals and have them take hits instead of your units.

Crendor, you really need to keep your guys at max health when you are not fighting and at max mana. Don't forget to use water elemental for big fights.

well is good to see crendor doing half hour videos, people complain about the speedrun and blah blah, no side missions, blah blah, bad gaming blah blah blah, well, that's the way crendor does his videos... i laugh a lot hearing him talk while he plays and i am here mostly for that, because he is funny... if you guys want to see a full play or a good play, go play warcraft 3 by yourselves.

Blood elves were just elves. You had elves and high elves. After the attack on quel thalas', the remaining high elves started calling themselves blood elves in memory of the lives that were lost to the scourge. They used to be in the alliance and then I think they were neutral and then sylvanas helped them get on the horde
CRENDOR!!!! LISTEN, YOU NEED TO LOOK AROUND!!!! That's the beauty of Warcraft 3 - there's a ton of stuff to find if you spend the time to find it. Just going straight through the level like you're doing makes you miss like half to content!!!

Wowcrendor Blood elfs we're use to be called High elves but something with the scourge killed high elfs and then the Prince went to Ilidan or something and since then they we're called blood elfs and joined horde i guess.. That about it but i could be completely WRONG :D

Crendor, the Tome of Strength upgraded Arhas' Strength attribute and was sed up immediatly when you recieved it. That's why you never got it into your bag :)
