The Prevention of Money Laundering Act 2002 was introduced by the Parliament to prevent money laundering in India. However, the law has garnered criticism in recent years, for its harsh provisions and its misuse. In the first episode of ThePrint's #Lawsoftheland, former Delhi high court judge and former chairman of the PMLA appellate tribunal talks to Bhadra Sinha and Apoorva Mandhani about how the "revolutionary law" came into being and how its character has evolved over the years.

The word basically was used over 1000 times though there is nothing basic about this law. This law is only a tool used by right people for public consumption with no intent to bring an end and conviction.

I’ll gotten money - sometimes in heinous crimes - suspected laundered; why it should not be confiscated! Of course flexible measure could be an option in later found genuine, or not so big offence cases!
How did various political leaders get caught under ED. Satender Jain case for example kindly declutter.
As usual, The Print being the subtle Modi basher it it
Now, they dont even hold back in pointing their fingers at ED, unsubscribed immediately
Bbye
