Had the opportunity and luck to visit Giannis first store in London long time ago. Did not know his name but went in, because of the amazing clothes I saw in the window. The first shop I went into with welcome at the door and two body guards lookalike opening the locked door for me. And it was stunning in there! The design and fabric of the clothes by Gianni I never forget, they were beautiful like magic and I could see and feel the genius of Gianni. Also remember asking for the price for one of the dresses and it was 15 000 punds. which at that time was about 150 000 SEK which was my currency. Could not buy but it did not matter.
There wasn't ONE photo where Allegra as a CHILD, looked happy with her UNCLE Giovanni Versace. It gave me the creeps. Why did she look so SAD in every single picture??

Alegra is a quiet, dignified person who had to fight demons in hetcearly years, keep herself in a background so she could make sense of fame, wealth, legacy of her uncle . She possibly had tense relationship with her talented, superachieving mother behind the scenes. I am very happy that all the wealth did not lead her to wastful life of partying, neverending leisure and vacationing on yachts and fancy destinations, which she obviously could. I gained tremendous respect for her and hope that being so super skinny will not contribute to some health issues. Some sibling relationships can be very powerful and pure positive energy in respect for one another. I could only envy those kind of relationships when they come across my path. Gianni's relationship to his sister as a muse is very rare in sibling relationship. This tells me they were connected spiritually too. To inspire someone to create beautiful things is amazing within itself. The narrator has done a great job.
During Gianni’s lifetime donnatella was unable to market the Versace brand in some wealthy but repressive countries due to his openly gay lifestyle. In some ways I admire him for standing up for what he believed in and living his life honestly and not cowtowing to these repressive regimes
I didn't know this either, and I follow fashion.this the first time I've seen old pic of Donatella, she was beautiful, even though she is not so much now does not demeisus the excellent job she has done carrying Versace forward......Thanks for the story.
Money buys HEALTH and health is happiness. I am much happier now with money than what I was being poor, since now I can finally afford proper health care and healthy diet.
There's some truth to this. When you're poor you can't take care of yourself anywhere near as well. Teeth that are broken and falling out, poor health, no place to live, little food and it's often of poor quality if you do get it, you have to put up with abusive people more and more. Life without $ is beyond hard.
Donatella was so beautiful well into her late 30's but all that blow she did and abused for so long eventually destroyed her nose bridge until it collapsed. The tip of her nose once up right now pointed down and laid flat, completely morphing her entire facial structure. She lost all the delicate feminine features she once had and despite the plastic surgery her original beauty was never recovered, in fact, it only enhanced in an unfavorable way the masculine look she has now. The blow, blew the beauty away. Nonetheless, she is still an amazingly talented and strong boss lady.
There is a muscle that is responsible for pulling the nose downward with age. All it takes to fix it is a few units of botox. She's had a lip lift and wayyy too many fillers.

Donatella's nose and lips are like a Picasso painting gone terribly wrong-abstract in all the worst ways. Only in the twisted world of high fashion could such a 'masterpiece' be considered art. It's a realm where the same people who came up with the phrase "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all," are also the ones who tell models they're a failure if they dare weigh a gram more than a toothpick. They worship at the altar of unattainable beauty standards, yet no one bats an eye at the absurdity of it all. These fashion tyrants strut around, deciding who's 'in' and who's 'out,' while pretending they're the paragons of kindness and grace. But let's be real-hell is not the VIP lounge they imagine. It's not some exclusive afterparty where everyone gets to mingle. No, it's a cold, empty void where they'll have plenty of time to reflect on every cruel word, every broken spirit they've left in their wake. Because in the abyss of darkness, there are no mirrors to admire your handiwork-just the echo of your own conscience.
How can a life-experienced man like Versace leave everything to his little niece and cause so much chaos, even among his siblings, who had also dedicated themselves to him and given everything they could? He didn’t know how his little niece would turn out. Astonishing.

It was very sad when Gianni was murdered. I remember that and when his sister took over. I’m very proud of the work that she has done and I did not know about Allegra her daughter. Very interesting story love it thank you for the coverage was surprised to hear about Blackstone, but they are keeping up with the
Donatella is an amazing woman. I read about her story and her triumphs. Love Versace and its gorgeous clothes. Allegra is wise to be low key and sensible. Love them 👗
Pauvre fille. Quelle maigreur. Une force de caractère est nécessaire et essentielle pour ne pas sombrer dans l’anorexie quand on évolue dans le monde de la mode, des runways et des vedettes… et que notre mère est Donatella Versace.
What a greatly narrated doco. I love Versace’s creations, & that Donatella wanted to honour her brother & has done a fantastic job. I worry for Allegra’s weight battle. Those with long term EDs typically don’t live long (or healthy) lives, & I don’t blame her for falling victim to that (I’d be surprised if she DIDN’T), yet I’m also not sure she can carry this brand into the future. She doesn’t have the zest for life that her mother has or that her incredible uncle had.
Great video 😊 I’d also never wonder why someone would want to stay out of the limelight…unless you seek attention, you wouldn’t want to be in it 🤷🏼♀️ to have the fortune without the fame, is the ultimate goal for normal people
Donnatella Versace has two children; Allegra (1986) and Daniel (1989). Daniel is not involved in the family business and keeps a very low key, is a musician and lives in London.
It's an amazing and extremely complex story much more complex than you've offered us here still I appreciate the beautiful job that you've done in this video I was involved with the family starting in 1981 and lived in Milan at Gianni's apartment back in 1982-1983. Gianni was without a doubt, one of if not the kindest, generous and caring people I have ever known. He even took me to the #MetBall in 1983, the year #DianaVreeland had a retrospective of #yvesstlaurent.
She was pretty before the surgery WHY do these people do this to themselves? It’s not like their poor and have to have it done on the cheap! Their rolling in money and turn themselves into freaks
Interesting. Back in 1998 I was in UCLA with Allegra. She was 12-13. I remember seeing both her Mother and Father walking out of the mail Dr. Office many times. I also remember both my parents talking about them and how famous they were. Also saying obviously money doesn’t buy happiness. She was so very thin but so gorgeous.
I do feel very sorry for the daughter who looks extremely unhappy and although she's not as unattractive as her mother she certainly is not very good-looking with her thin thin body and her very hard face and her dead eyes. This documentary teaches us that wealth does not bring happiness or Joy or peace ☺️
A very sweet girl. I knew her for several months. I never saw her in designer clothes in fact the opposite, she dressed like a little hippie/ sorority girl. Very polite. I got the impression she wanted to start her own fashion line which reflected her own taste. Nothing flashy, very low key.
I have deep compassion for Allegra. She has anorexia which is a mental illness. I would like to offer her a therapy center with group therapy where everybody can finally pack it all out. The worst stress factor is when people don't talk about their fears and traumas.
She is so beautiful 💗 I know the feeling of not being able to eat...fruit smoothies, fresh fruit only will bring life to her... a lot of them daily, they will keep her hydrated and full and believe it or not keep calories on her enough to make her look amazing 🙏🏼❤️🔥and some nice lite spinach salads or jyst toss sime spinach in the soothie with some peacans for protein 🙏🏼❤️🔥I had just moved to Miami, my brother was already living there. I think I was there a month or two when Donatella lost her beloved brother Gianni 🙏🏼❤️🔥🙏🏼. I thought Donatella carried on gracefully most people would have crumbled in the public eye she succeeded ❤️🔥
Wow, I am happy to see her on this video. ❤❤❤ That is sad what happened to Mr. Versace. I wonder does Mrs. Donatella have involvement with thee fragrance's Versace makes, they smell so good? No this is my first night learning about her.
@10:07 A " family photo " with the parents front and center while their little lost child is in the background - neglected - that very bizarre photo tells us what to expect for Allegra's future.
But she carried on the brand…. The brand today still exists and it’s because of her being the creative director at the label. To easily dismiss her contributions is insane. Almost 30 yrs after Giannis death and she still continues
I always thought something didn't sit right with Gianni Versace murder case Before his death he cut Donatella, His brother and their kids out of his heritage. Only Allegra got something. Looks like a destiny stolen in my opinion from something who was close to him... Remember the Gucci ?
Never understood why she got so much and her brother didn’t? I was always aware because in the late 90s i was a ny runway model and one of my goals was to be cast as a Versace model. Many times, the designers would pay us in couture. It was a life dream to meet the genius designer himself. When he died in 97 i was devastated. think about and pray for Allegra all the time.
Does she give to charities? Lots of disabled and destitute children could use a hand. She ought to visit a homeless shelter or see people sleeping in the streets. She could put part of her fortune to good use and feel great about herself without the use if drugs.

It was very sad when Gianni was murdered. I remember that and when his sister took over. I’m very proud of the work that she has done and I did not know about Allegra her daughter. Very interesting story love it thank you for the coverage was surprised to hear about Blackstone, but they are keeping up with the
michael kprs had enough money to buy versace. that didnt make sense to me.
Great video 😊 I’d also never wonder why someone would want to stay out of the limelight…unless you seek attention, you wouldn’t want to be in it 🤷🏼♀️ to have the fortune without the fame, is the ultimate goal for normal people
“It’s ver•sa•che… not ver•sa•chee” ~Donatella
The name is big , family troubles are not at the forefront, we all have different levels of struggles ! I hope they are healthy and at peace
The narrator has an astounding voice ! It makes you fully engrossed in the subject. Kudos for him !
Daniel inherited Gianni's art collection, which would appreciate more over time and be worth millions
Donnatella Versace has two children; Allegra (1986) and Daniel (1989). Daniel is not involved in the family business and keeps a very low key, is a musician and lives in London.
I had no idea there was a young Versace, the girl that never smiles?!
Or eats
It's an amazing and extremely complex story much more complex than you've offered us here still I appreciate the beautiful job that you've done in this video I was involved with the family starting in 1981 and lived in Milan at Gianni's apartment back in 1982-1983. Gianni was without a doubt, one of if not the kindest, generous and caring people I have ever known. He even took me to the #MetBall in 1983, the year #DianaVreeland had a retrospective of #yvesstlaurent.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow!
you must have wonderful stories to tell
”Every penny of it was earned.” That is ridicilous. Is not like she was dirt poor and actually started from zero, come on.
They’re saying that in reference to Donatella. Which, she has rightfully earned.
Exactly. She "earned every penny" by inheriting her brother's business!
@@samanthafairweather9186 she’s also kept the house running since his death in 1997.
One must always pay the price.
@@samanthafairweather9186no her daughter inherited it.
There are huge chunks of this story missing.
Why didn’t Alegra’s brother get any of the money
No mention of him
I was thinking about that too
He inheirited art, but his sister got the business. Both were children. I wonder why Gianni did that.
And why was he not mentioned during this recap of Allegra's life?
I do feel very sorry for the daughter who looks extremely unhappy and although she's not as unattractive as her mother she certainly is not very good-looking with her thin thin body and her very hard face and her dead eyes. This documentary teaches us that wealth does not bring happiness or Joy or peace ☺️
But, what does Allegra actually do? How involved in the business is she?
Donatella deserves her flowers
Wait! Is this about Donatella ? Your focus is 95% on Donatella, and NOT ALLEGRA!😮
She hasn't accomplished much, except that she exists. There's not much to say.
Marlyn Manson must be proud he has women wanting to look like him so they doo
She’s dating him???
@@maryjogreen1706Allegra resembles MM
A very sweet girl. I knew her for several months. I never saw her in designer clothes in fact the opposite, she dressed like a little hippie/ sorority girl. Very polite. I got the impression she wanted to start her own fashion line which reflected her own taste. Nothing flashy, very low key.
Thanks for sharing!
Did some security for this family in 1999 this is only half of the truth....it's allot more complex !
Do share what you think about this
@@bluesparrow92 it may cause too much trouble … I was security in London in 1999 for a specific reason ! not sure I can comment
@@simonrodgers9105 well you should have shut up then
Eliki Pokarov my friend !
@@selenaclarkeyou’re a little harsh, don’t you think?
Italian still have the best family unity no matter how much money is involve.
Blackstone! Hopefully wallstreet wont destroy the legacy of Versace.
I love your choice of words and the phrasing of the sentences, even in previous videos, keep it up 👏❤🎉
Thank you! 😃
Congratulations - I'm happy she, was able to succeed and move past, any unhappiness. She's, creative and I'm still in line for the fashion.
That’s a pretty name Allegra
If only it wasn’t an allergy medication
Nope
Wondering why you did not mention her brother, pretty much of this was already known.
Allegra was in hospital with my friend, both with Anorexia around age 11. I believe they are beautiful people.
Wow, I am happy to see her on this video. ❤❤❤ That is sad what happened to Mr. Versace. I wonder does Mrs. Donatella have involvement with thee fragrance's Versace makes, they smell so good? No this is my first night learning about her.
My vintage Versacé pieces hit different when I think Gianni only designed 19 years. That’s insane.
Cool narration!😎
Please donatella had an army of people making designs for her. She didn't do this all by her lonesome
Allegra , stay away from the spotlight and live in peace and privacy.Donate to the charities of your choice . Thank God everyday .
Blackstone owns half the world.
I know who Donatella is but I didn't know much about her children so this very insightful.
Michael Kors bought Versace? Shocking, I never knew that.
No, didn't know of Allegra. 🌷
Very smart woman, she's living like regular folks so that she can actually enjoy life, she's got this "
je ne sais quoi" about her
So happy to see them triumph!
@10:07 A " family photo " with the parents front and center while their little lost child is in the background - neglected - that very bizarre photo tells us what to expect for Allegra's future.
They look like a very unhappy family.
Technically...it's Gianni's money..Donatella only became famous after her brother died. But money is not everything...
Who's Allegra's brother?
Donnatella looks crazy
Cocaine caved her face in.
No i didn't know about the VERSACE STORY!!! Thank you ❤
Our pleasure!
ahhhh these were the MASTERS of FASHIONS
Never understood why she got so much and her brother didn’t?
I was always aware because in the late 90s i was a ny runway model and one of my goals was to be cast as a Versace model. Many times, the designers would pay us in couture. It was a life dream to meet the genius designer himself. When he died in 97 i was devastated. think about and pray for Allegra all the time.
This wasnt about Allegra. It was ahout Versace in general.
i wish donnatella would have not done any work on her face, she looked so naturally beautiful
I enjoyed this alot...thanks. I had no idea of this story.
Does she give to charities? Lots of disabled and destitute children could use a hand. She ought to visit a homeless shelter or see people sleeping in the streets. She could put part of her fortune to good use and feel great about herself without the use if drugs.
Why should she
