I have a Husqvarna Viking 680 sewing machine. It has been notorious for the foot pedal to quit working. I can no longer purchase a foot pedal for it. I am wondering if I can use a generic foot pedal by wiring the cord from the original foot pedal to the generic one. If so can you give me any advice as to which one to use. I hate to throw out my old machine that still works terrific!
