    I already own poi pod v2s. They're amazing. My first pair were a set from emazing lights that hurt a lot. Even received a black eye from them lol cant wait to make a soft set for more practicing.

    I followed your earlier video, and made my own sock poi with what I had around...a racquetball. Love em, but still managed to whack myself pretty good a few times (butterflies come to mind along with windmills). I later bought contact poi, and hardly use them as they just hurt when trying to learn something new. Oh, and the sock poi just make for a nice visual in my opinion. Great videos, and thank you for making them.

    Haha!! How about a bar of soap in a sock? Or a severed hand? Or your neighbors chihuahua? The possibility is endless!! And grips? The peace fingers work great;) or try out some good old fashioned gang signs! Symbols we use to extress ourselves... great video.. ;)

    Thanks so much! I was getting ready to spend more than I wanted just to try these. Now I'm all set! I'm definitely going to look for those dog toy balls since I discovered pretty quickly that beans can hurt. :)

    So Ive been using knotted sock poi for about a month. I tried using my LED poi last night, it has double loop handle,and I found it impossible to do the same moves. I would like to eventually start fire poi, now Im worried I wont be able to handle them at all when I actually purchase a pair. Anyone else ever habe this happen

    So hear this. I've started learning poi when I was 18 till maybe 25, now I'm 32 and after this break I returned to spin. And in my country, every people that I saw or know with poi are using training poi made from chain and tennis ball. It hurt as hell, but man, I'm learning so fast because of this xd oh and they are heavier so it's easier when you start with fire. I never saw smth like this on yt

    I plan to cut and sew my own fabric to make a set just like the orange and yellow poi you pictured. May I ask your recommendation on the length? Not including the handle what length should they be?

    • @playpoivideos
      @playpoivideos  7 місяців тому +1

      I like my poi to be a little shorter than my arms, so that they can swing in past my torso.

      It is supposed to be from your armpit to your palm of your hand

    • @feedyourgirl
      @feedyourgirl 7 років тому +2

      Not completely true, the best length of poi for you depends on your spinning style and what kind of tricks you're doing. Shorter cords can make it easier to do stalls and hybrids, for example, while longer cords can make it easier to do tangles and orbitals.
