You can now use VMware Fusion Player 12 to run multiple versions of macOS, Windows or Linux on your Mac for free! Did you try it out? what do you think? Do you have any questions? Let me know!
RationalPragmatist i also tired but found vmware is having muted performance compared to parallels. Using parallels feels no frame drops, no hiccups. But vmware always drops the frame. Even though vmware is free but the OS is unusable for my base mac model. Still recommend parallels.
Thank you so much. I had the same, needs Catalina to run. I stayed on Mojave for one app which doesn’t run on 64bit only Catalina. So, now I installed Catalina, installed Fusion Player 12, and now I need to install Mojave in the VM so I can use that one program again. I also need Wineskin to run that one app. I’m a bit nervous. Never done anything this “complicated” on my Mac (whole life Win user, switched 6 yrs ago to Mac).
@@Mr.Macintosh Thank You. Installed everything, but when I install the 32 bit program I get a message that the Vm disk is read only. Have no idea what to do.
@@Mr.Macintosh I made it work 😃. A few hiccups still to tackle but that’s within the genealogy program itself. Everything looks ok. It’s lagging here and there. Bumped up the memory to 4GB and increased the # of cores to 4 too. Stil not as smooth as normal. But it’s an old MacBook late 2013. Maybe that’s the problem. Still need to get my way around a bit but I’ll explore and see. This is a very nice solution for anyone who needs to run 32 bit applications or need Windows or likewise. I learned a lot from your website H and I thank you for that. Chapeau, kudos.
I've been trying to download this for a month now, but every time I try to sign into my account I get an error "Unable to Complete Your Request". I have tried to set up a new account, but the website keeps saying something went wrong. Also I have tried with no luck any contact information where I could ask someone for help but I am unable to find any. Any help would be appreciated!!
I have a still valid vmware account but when I try to download the free version of VMware Fusion Player 12 I get "Dear user, the web content you have requested is not available"

Is the storage usage fixed or dynamic?

Thank you Mr. Macintosh. Went ahead and downloaded it right away

Standaard, nice work. I'm glad you got this to work and now have a solution for older apps running Mojave!

Interesting... what is the name of the app? I can test this with an older app to see if i get the same message.
@@Mr.Macintosh its Aldfaer version 6.2. Its a Dutch genealogy program. I get back to you. My MacBook needs charging. 🙂

Thank you very much for this video. It helped me to learn a skill. I will give it a try today.
How do you configure and run Windows in this version of VMWare?
Has anyone seen this error Transport (VMDB) error -14: Pipe connection has been broken ...
Do you have a video which shows for Windows 10 on Macbook?
Amazing video. I dropped my windows 10 iso file but its asking me for a product key to install.
I figured it out. TY
Glad you got it going Ricardo! What was the issue?
@@Mr.Macintosh actually still not working. VM see my zen but the zen studio app won’t recognize that the zen is plugged into my Mac

Bruce, that's a weird one for sure! The only thing that I could recommend is to try making another account? (or contact support) I hope that works.
I encountered the same problem. I disabled AdBlock and Brave shields (as I use Brave browser) and Voila! It works.
Too bad it only runs on Catalina.
I agree Mike, I had it all ready to test on my Mojave Mac only to find out that it requires Catalina. Bummer...
@@Mr.Macintosh Ah *that* may be why I get the "Dear user, the web content you have requested is not available" message, I also use Mojave.
Boom, and your fan is going full speed...
Don't try this on a MacBook Air LOL!!!
I want to make an account, but it asks for a business, and I don't have one!
Gabriel, the free version is only for home users so i'm not sure why it would ask that. Try typing in something random
@@Mr.Macintosh Unfortunantly, I couldn't get it to work. How did you make an account?
