Even though my kids are adults now, I still enjoy watching these videos. As crazy as the school year was, I do miss those days of school shopping, routines, homework, etc. Time flies so fast.
Battery back-up on an electric alarm clock is a great extra, most just use a 9v battery but when electric blinks/goes out it keep clock on time with alarms so you never miss a beat (some don’t display time when on battery but alarm will still go off) usually about $5 more plus battery but so worth it
Can you film a getting your house ready for school video?! I love your videos! I’m a homeschool mom of 4 but I still love the tips and helps me in our school work
Such great tips Rach! The little package for the girls I always made sure they had enough things for the day because you never know when they will need them. Thank you for sharing have a great day ❤
@@RachPlusFive I'm watching your long video now about self teaching about cleaning and cooking. I did too. My mother didn't clean. She left that to her kids. She was an ok cook. Nothing major. I'm a way better cook than she was. My father had me felling trees for the wood stove, shoveling snow, mowing the lawns, taking care of horses, cows, pigs, dogs....cutting and baling hay....on and on. Once I moved out I started learning how to cook through trial and error...a lot of error but I always put it outside for the wildlife. I hate food waste. I hate waste period.
@@RachPlusFive as far as cleaning....I clean everything. People hate me because I'll go to their house and see something dirty and 6 hours later their kitchen is clean, the windows are clean, their chair upholstery is drying, their cabinets are clean.....
@@RachPlusFive I used to work in restaurants. the other employees hated me because I'd tell the manager the restaurant needs a bath after closing. We'd spend hours scrubbing the kitchen, the dining room, the bathrooms...until 5;or 6 am. It was clean after a week. Then we'd do it once a month.
@@RachPlusFive I can make a floor that's brown but was white and make it white again. I don't tell anyone how I do it either.. I've got to deep clean my washer too. I get in my shower with a melamine sponge and Ajax and clean my bathroom. I'm the one that mops on my hands and knees at 60 years old with Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis and Diabetic Neuropathy.
Take one thing at a time. I know that’s easier said than done but you’ll lose your mind trying to do it all. Don’t let social media dictate your parenting. Focus on their (and your) basic needs first and then add the extras. You’ve got this. 🩷😊
So jealous that your kids school gives you the calendar for those extras at the beginning of the year. The only calendar we get is the one that says what days school will be closed. We do have the themed weeks and days and such but they don't tell you about them until you are maybe a week out if you are lucky. 🤦♀️
