The reason why your skin gets oilier during the day is because the foundation is drying and your skin reacts by producing more oil.

always in the lookout for a foundation that doesn’t settle around fine lower face lines. I was hoping for a bit more from this foundation but I’m guessing I’m not exactly Prada target audience! This is therefore an easy pass! Would love to hear your updated favourites in all categories. 💖

I used this foundation on my mom for a wedding we were attending and it worked beautifully. She has dry skin and is 61. I prepped her skin with CT magic serum and magic cream, it looked beautiful and photographed beautifully!
I don’t think my very dry skin would like this one and I’ve seen other foundations look better on you.
All you need to do is adjust your your skin prep I have this foundation and when I want it Matt I use a Matt moisturizer when I want the formula to look more dewy I use a face oil
They lost me at AI….🙄👀 why can’t actual humans develop makeup. I
I will skip this foundation just because of that. I am not against technology and it’s development as long as it does not interfere with our productivity, creativity and done with integrity in mind.

Yeah. I was intrigued by the fact that they used that technology to come up with shade range. But, AI is going to cause a lot of problems in the future. Replacing people's jobs all over the world. 😫

I’m 49 with dry skin & texture & I really love this foundation. I wear it quite sheerly & it wears beautifully, but am in the uk & it’s much colder than the us.
I am usually a LM Neutral ( so B30 I’m summer for Channel) and got MN40 and it’s a perfect match shade wise.
But I did think the shades online looked warmer & darker than irl.
As a pro Makeup artist theeeeeeeres sooooooooo many loopholes in her delivery about the product & application , even how it was applied. I was cringing the way she was holding the brush and applying it ,With any matte product Skin care prep is key , then the makeup brush I saw her use looked like it was a light dense brush. Perfect brush to use with foundations is a more dense brush and to always use tapping motion , then lightly go over with a beauty blender that was pre damped from the day before. I can go on and on with a few more POV . But overall beautiful woman 🤍
Check-in's and up close are very helpful, kudos to do that for people :)

I’m so glad to see this review. When I saw the pictures, I was immediately intrigued. But, after watching the check-ins, I think I will wait (maybe even pass on it). I work fairly quickly, but I’m not a fan of products that dry down so quickly. That said, I could see how well it melted into your skin. The match was perfect, and perfect matches are so hard to find. Thanks so much for reviewing this one. I guess my bottom line is that I need the application process to be easy. If it is a struggle, I put it away and never use it. Forgive me for rambling so much. Great review! Love ya bunches❤

Hi Tara ❤ I know this is a foundation video, but i have a concealer question. I have mature skin with dark hollows under my eyes. Was wondering what full coverage concealer would you suggest? Shape tape has good coverage, but gets cakey looking. I have normal skin. Also fine lines.
I think you may like the new one from Natasha Denona. It's nice coverage, but not cakey. I also hear the Huda Beauty faux filter is great on fine Lines. I have it, but don't have the right shade. I need to get the right shade and try it out. But, so many in my comment section have mentioned how much they love that one😁🩷 Hope that helps🙏💕
@TaraLynnbeauty ty so much! I do want to try Natasha Denona. I also have the Huda concealer in the wrong color! It's too light. I think I like it. It's just so hard to tell with the wrong shade. When I do order another concealer, I'll use your links ❤️
I’ve heard great things about the new givenchy concealer, esp for mature skin. I just got the new Lancôme, which I actually really like too, or I would have got it, but it’s next on my list. The other one I like enough that I panned & bought a second bottle of is the shisheido synchronizing skin liquid concealer.

Yeah. I'm definitely going to continue to wear it and see if my thoughts change on it. But, as of now, for me, it's just a decent foundation 😁

Actually, yes. They're some similarities between the 2. I think the Prada has more of that smoothing factor, but, they wear very similar throughout the day😁🩷

This foundation looks like smashbox studio skin full coverage foundation. The formula seems almost like a dupe of it. Smashbox one was also really long wearing and was not breaking as prada foundation, however had makeupy look. Unfortunately this one is a pass for me. I will wait for some better release 😊

Yes, I had a issue with the shade, so I returned the shade I ordered and got another shade and it's a better match so I can start testing it💕

It's a pass for me unfortunately. I've been testing this for the last 4-5 days now and cannot seem to make it work. I have combi (thirsty) skin and by the end of the day, the shine is just a bit much. Also, during application, it would appear to emphasize my textures way more than I would like; and my skin is not terribly textured at all... I guess I'll continue to stick to either Dior and the Rare Beauty one for now. Those seem to pair better with my skin. ❤
Oh rats, I was hoping that this one would be THE one. Unfortunately, I have very dry skin (it doesn't look overly dry but it really is) and I never get any oils coming through - I wish I did 😞 - so, I'll be passing on it.
Just a thought, but would applying concealer in the trouble area before the foundation, help in any way?

I actually tried that today, and so far, it's not wearing well over Concealer. I'm going to try a different Concealer tomorrow and see if it's just the Concealer. Or the foundation. But, I am still going to work with this one and see if I can find a way to have it not wear so cakey🤷♀️ But, good news is, you don't have to spend $70 on a new foundation 😁🤣🎉🎉

Thanks for the thorough review, Tara! I will pass on this Pravda foundation. May I take this opportunity to say that a year ago, I got a sample of the Chanel No 1 foundation. I did not like it but not dislike it because it did not cover my sun spots very well. However now that the spots are lighter (but not gone), I tried the foundation again. That day, my colleagues said I looked very well, meaning healthy I think, and every time I wore it, I got complimented. Needless to say, I rushed to get a bottle. Somehow, it makes your skin looks more youthful and glowy without being shiny. Fabulous!

Im quiet dry, but I sweat a lot here in Florida. And I hate feeling anything on my skin. I worrie about my skin prep being to heavy, that I need, and having my foundation slide off once Im out and about. I have many foundations I've tried. And I'm still looking. Do you have any suggestions to what I might try. You give such through information I thought you might have a suggestion. I forget so easily, then I find myself combing through video's on the hunt. Any suggestion would be great.
I bought this off the Selfridge website in the shade Ln10. I agree with your assessment on no help in finding a shade. They do have an international number and you can speak with someone who can assist in shade matching. The foundation gods were with me and my selection was a spot on match. However, I was told you cannot return any cosmetic in the UK unless it’s broken. I paid 43.00 it’s regularly 54.00. They had a sale going on for New Year. I wish the outer portion was glass as well. My skin loved it and I will repurchase.

Great review. I’m on day 2. Mature combination skin and I do use Tretinoin 4 days a week. Also I live in an extremely humid hot (tropical) urban climate. So far, (only 2 days), I’m Loving this. It smooths my pores and makes my skin look polished. Most foundations either make me look like a disco ball or hot mess. Sorry this did not work on you. From the camera, on my end, I thought it looked beautiful on you❤

At first I was so excited about purchasing this foundation until I saw the shades. Then I noticed I couldn’t wear not one shade it’s either a complete shade range too light or a complete shade range too dark. I’m not that type of ppl who will make a shade work for them when there are other brands literally have my skin tone in a bottle. This is the first time I have ever had to deal with a situation like this before. In the past my shade would be the last shade available. I honestly don’t know how to feel about this. Like I said it’s still brands I haven’t tried yet. It is beautiful foundation
The Ai skin tone algorithm must have really worked, because the one thing everyone agrees on across the board with this foundation is how well it matches their skin tone! LOL
