Celebrating 20 Years of VOICE Mentorship

On December 7, 2023, a celebration was held in honor of the student mentorship program known as Volunteers of Issaquah Changing Education, or "VOICE". Over the past 20 years, more than 2500 students received mentorship through the program from community volunteers.
VOICE Mentor Program Specialist Tina Weber attributes the program's enduring success to a simple philosophy and vision. "It's really just you meeting with the students, talking with them, developing trust, developing that relationship, so that they know that there's someone out there that is in their corner. Helping them, not being judgmental, but just listening to them and guiding them." 🤗
