I'm almost 16 and am an IEP student with Autism. Even though I plan to work in the field of Web Development, I volunteer, working with kids between PreK and Elementary at my church. What an excellent teacher! God bless your heart.
Awesome job Mrs. Kelley! I am currently contemplating a degree in special education. I feel that everyone can learn and should have the same opportunity to be spectacular! I am very inspired by your video and your passion. I even want to learn sign language after watching your video. :) Please continue to share your gift with everyone and continue to capture the hearts of your students. They will never forget you. You are a true inspiration. May God continue to Bless you!
I love this video. I wish we could have more teachers like Mrs. Kelley. All the technology is just great for children with special needs. School districts should get up to date get informed in all this new technology. Many blessing to the teacher and the children.
I love your passion for teaching and the love you have for your students! You inspire me to be a great teacher! 😀 I am working on my Master's degree in Elementary Education! 😀
I graduate in a week with my degree in Special Education. Next school year, I will be teaching K-2 self contained special education, and I hope that I am able to teach like you! This video is very inspiring!
I remember being in a classroom similar to this. So relatable. When I was in kindergarten, I was in PM kindergarten, but I did not spend the morning at home watching Nick Jr. 😁 I spent the morning in a special needs room and I remember my teacher and my classmates in the room going over the rules and the date. Oh yeah, and I loved Starfall! :)

You honestly are the teacher I look up to becoming when I become a middle school special education teacher. This is absolutely perfect, from the storytelling to the quiz with Kahoot over it! We use Kahoot all the time in my high school. I had never thought about using it in the Special Education Classroom. But it is an amazing idea! Do you have any tips for someone wanting to become a Special Education teacher?
Hi Abby! Thanks for watching. That's exciting that you are pursuing special education. Our kiddos need good teachers. My advice would be to intern a lot and see where you best fit. I hope your college program has that integrated into your study so you are able to see all the different types of SPED classrooms. Good Luck! I look forward to seeing you video on here! :)
That made me want to cry happily. Knowing someone is looking forward to seeing videos on my page. I'm not the best with people, so I'm kinda scared about it. But it's people like you that give me the little bit of courage to try it out.

The video is awesome. I am getting myself ready for next school year and your video has me excited. What program are you using for your reading comprehension lesson?
