One of the clearest and best-explained brake change videos I’ve seen. Great camerawork too! Thanks very much for taking the time to make this video Dan!
9:21 Isn't it better to apply that orange lubricant to the inner part of the caliber where it contacts the shims? That'll Make it less visible and attract less dust.
On some models and later years of Mazda’s it can be 23~28 ft-lbf (front single-piston caliper). On this one it’s 62~68 ft-lbf (front dual-piston caliper). Thx for watching! -Dan
Thank you!! Very clear and helpful. Can I ask, did the abutment clips come with the pads or did you order them separately? Trying to figure out a part number.
Hey man have you ever had trouble with the key fob? Sometimes the car doesn’t pick up the key fob and I have to touch the fob to the start button to start the car
I'm having problems with my front passenger side brakes. After changing my brake pads, it started to make a clunky sound when I drive it . But it fades when I accelerate. Has that happened to you before ?
It is the same as cx52021?? I just changed diy my brake pads and start to make a clunk noise, I think I put the shims in the wrong position, do you think that I can do it in the position that you did it in the video ??
I am not sure, but it's probably very similar. If there's a noise, I would take it apart and inspect everything that you did to see what is going on in there before driving it anymore.

Thank you for the clear video!
Slide pin torques are close to 25ft lbs pretty sure, not 65.

Those Mazda key fobs go through their little batteries pretty quickly. I stocked up.

I would take off the wheel and inspect it and double check everything. It’s possible that something didn’t go back together correctly.
