Anybody know the true origin of this tune? A friend of mine got it off an old K-tel record years ago, but they didn't name the musicians or anything.
Lonesome Lefty's page has the names to go with that K-tel album. After years, finally we all know for sure, though many could make some good guesses.
as for its origin, it appears to be a Canadian fiddle standard traditional tune.

I believe it's a Ned Landry tune.
Lots of the old timers play it in Vermont, I must some from Canada
