  • A quick look at the Dr Slick Cyclone Nipper, which I'm in love with. I don't think there's a better performing nipper on the market and the price is unbeatable.

I think they cut wonderful and the price is awesome. However, for the way I like to fish for trout with small flies, light tippet and Davey knots they don't work for me. I put a spacer under the cutter blade but I still couldn't get it to cut the knot off of the hook eye.

Just ordered this nipper. What zinger do you have it attached to? Looks nice.

That is a cheap zinger I think I got from Postfly Box, which I would never subscribe to again 😂 but that's a different story. If you search zingers on Amazon it's the generic one that everyone is selling. The price is right though 🤣. No one will ever convince me that Fishpond zinger is worth $30

Especially when other companies are charging $50-100 for aluminum nippers. The Simms Pro nippers have replaceable blades but you have to send them back to Simms. 🤦 For $100 I expect blades I can replace myself.
Pretty nice when a company actually charges a reasonable price for a product.

@@ontheflywithryan5611the tough part is the Simms have a fly threading feature that the other high end cutters don’t.
