Bless your mom. At any age we get anxiety when our life is in disarray but I think as we get older we are worse when our lives are out of order. She’s constantly fighting the floods whether it’s in her physical daily living or it’s mentally always worrying or thinking of ways to prepare.
I know how G is feeling. As I've gotten older, any disruption of my routine causes anxiety. Hang in there sweet lady. It will all be worth it in the end.❤

I wouldn't like it either. Of course I live in Nebraska where it gets cold in the winters and those cold floors would,be hard in my legs. I wondered,about the rugs because I thought paw paw said those brand new area rugs were getting thrown away.

Kim, I have had both of my knees replaced so I'm speaking from experience. I suggest you change your shoes from Sketchers. They don't support your feet and legs enough when you have knee issues. A very good shoe would be a New Balance shoe. That's what my Orthopedic doctor recommended and what I have worn ever since
Yes knees are so painful when they hurt. I have had one of my knees replaced and the other one done next week. I wish i had it done years ago and would have saved me struggling with pain
Kim, if you haven’t had an MRI of your knee, I highly suggest it. You may have a tear in your ACL or Meniscus. I have a tear in both. And I were a big knee brace when up doing stuff. I have a compression strap above my knee, and below it, and then the knee brace. And I feel like the compression straps helps tremendously. ❤

On the next trip I can see doing a painted rug in there . With Pawpaw and the dogs it would have time to set. Btw, my guy is having a knee problem and it helps to give it a break for the brace unless you're doing something and may fall.
Oh my days, We have just had to do self same thing,we had to lay all new floors in our downstairs, I'm 74 and it's been hard, just us, hubby and I. Thank goodness for having a lovely big close family ❤
Send mama to my house in Alabama! I have a nice bed and recliner and her choice of tv's and a beautiful view! It might be too quiet for her, but she can rest and relax a few days! ❤❤
It would be ideal if Koda could stay with someone else while this is being done. Hard to contain kids and dogs to a room. Maybe dogs could stay in mancave or outdoor kitchen. Kim, has anyone suggested a cayenne pepper wrap for your knee? Just take a few layers paper towel, put some oil (castor or olive oil) then sprinkle cayenne pepper on it and wrap that around your knee covered with Saran Wrap or press and seal wrap. The cayenne will increase blood supply to that area to heal.
Hi Kim, i live alone, and I started decorating my bathroom and kitchen and still got the rest to do. we are the same age we were both born 1967 I'm Feb 1st and I have trouble hip problems and it hurts really bad moving around so I understand what u mean about your knee as my hips now are giving me knees problem aswell, I think pawpaw and gigi are to set in there ways to go on a break in hotel they want to help as much as they can bless them looking good though ❤❤❤
I don't usually comment, but the description of knee pain you experienced while cooking the lunch is typical of a meniscal tear in your knee, you need to see an Orthopedic surgeon. Keep the knee sta ilized with the brace until appointment. It's easily fixed with an arthroscopic surgery.
Good morning Kim I’m glad you took the brace off while sitting on the floor painting it will let blood circulate while your still just make sure you put it back on at feed time my knees scream at me when I have outside work in the garden on uneven ground or when cutting the grass and making repairs this getting older isn’t for sissies is it. the floors will be nice for Gigi and pawpaw when y’all get them finished, poor Gigi I would be crazy trying to watch the girls and dogs with the house in the middle of repairs but Grammies seem to make it work don’t we, I think kaitie would love a play date with pawpaws little goats it would be fun to watch her run an play with other littles, you and Levi have a blessed day

I so need to finish painting one room. I live in a mobile home, and I have painted. two panels. I still have the top of those .panels, but I have no help to.move things. My once broken leg plus this transverse myelitis cause me to have trouble. I hope it will get done before the end of the year.

You guys are always doing stuff do ya ever break lol go get a picnic and go down to camp hiedies an sit relax put knee on ice an g can put her hand up in the air an both need to rest I know not possible lol do you think you tore your cuspice thing I had a mri only way it showed surgery later 1year later after a bunch of shots an therapy it’s better it hurts when I aggravate it gigis hand will stop after surgery but it can come back after a few years it doesn’t hurt but gets a little numb the strange thing about your knee is that you don’t or didn’t have to do something major to hurt it I didn’t just walked my dog an pop the pain I feel you can Katie an pops baby play an get along that would be nice

Poor Gigi, the chaos at first is too overwhelming. I can't imagine trying to keep the little kids out of the way or out of the paint. They must mind well. Sure is a family project when you have to paint floors, moving furniture let it dry couple days, then move more furniture and paint again. It will look nice fresh and clean when they are all done.❤️🥰

My 43 year old daughter ( special needs)doesn’t do good in bad weather. Don’t have anyone close to get to with roads flooded. I have family in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. Poor Gigi, the chaos at first is too overwhelming. I can't imagine trying to keep the little kids out of the way or out of the paint. They must mind well. The floors will look so nice when they are finished. Hope your knee isn't worse after being on the floor. I wouldn't be able to get up, even without a bad knee. 😊

Sure is a family project when you have to paint floors, moving furniture let it dry couple days, then move more furniture and paint again. It will look nice fresh and clean when they are all done.❤️🥰

Good Tuesday morning Kim and family. When I first heard about this project I thought that is going to be crazy time. With kids and animals hiw are youvgoing to control it. I would if also suggested Gigi stay at a hotel as she has her opinions qlso and I would feel for poor Ben. She is so obsessed with the floors being covered til its painted and wanted ro bring in the rugs ril then. Oh my 😮. Hopr all turns out but it may be a challenge. 9/26/24….I would have anxiety too like your mom specifically if I had to keep kids. But she knows it has to be done. It’s great that y’all are pitching in to help them again. …. Please keep us in your prayers. I know with out a doubt we will lose power. Helena is a BIG one! A lot of roads are already flooded 😢. My 43 year old daughter ( special needs)doesn’t do good in bad weather. Don’t have anyone close to get to with roads flooded. I have family in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. I had some for my shoulder & it did help for a while

Kim if your knee doesn’t get any better In About a week ,You Need To go Back to the Dr .....That’s how My Knee did And it was rubbing bone to bone....You might need to go to a Orthopedic Doctor....( Not trying to tell you what to do) Just hate seeing

Gosh Kim I wish I thought to send you a video of Acid washing concrete. If you look at some videos with this process it may be something you'll be interested in on a future project. It sure can be just beautiful.
