How to Hide your base on 9b9t, 2021 Edition.

2 years ago I joined 9b9t and made a base in the close to spawn region. I left 9b9t and came back a few days ago. Apparently, my base was not found for four months. I’d argue that’s pretty impressive especially since it was so close to spawn. :D

furnaces are easily spotted with search. You won't have luck with those. You have to avoid any blocks that can store items. (I assume you're talking about the spawn region)
An echest is your best friend at spawn.

Had a fully visible base close to spawn with small stash next to it. Stash looted, quite a few visitors, but after 2 years still standing.

i just found this out: you can open chests under portal blocks to break them, or use a lava bucket so that you dont get any explosions.

sadly a lot of nether chunks dont "work" due to chunk freezing, so its hard to find a spot to place a portal because when you break it, the portal frame wont disapear
