@@JackFlemingArtistry Yeah, you might be right but if everyone could do what we can do, we'd be out of business, right? I still stand by my last comment, this video is pure gold and I look forward to the next. Have fun mate.
This is fantastic, thank you sir! Hugely helpful, and applied to pinstriping is the treasure all us new folk have been looking for. Really appreciate you sharing it with us all, and really dig your style. Cheers Jack 🖌👍
I like your idea to share info about color theory re: pinstriping. I think you’ve hit on a niche that other stripers online aren’t focusing on. Thanks.
It is a fun topic and one that I know everybody experiments with figuring out through trial and error. Color has been my favorite aspect of art, both in teaching and in making art. It has endless possibilities. Working on editing part 2.
Awesome! Look forward to seeing more. I'll have to try the key holder. One thing I'd like to hear your thoughts on is how to design the design. Maybe this will get discussed in this series. Probably not explaining this right.. Are there rules to to pin stripping? I'm not understanding where to put my lines over top the lines below it..
Some will say there are rules, others will say there are not. I like to think of them not as rules, but tools for good design. This series will focus on color (one of the elements of art). I do have plans to make other videos applying the other elements of art and principles of design to pinstriping. A lot will probably be focused on experimenting.
I find a dark background to be easier than a white one. light to dark or dark to light. Always get mixed up in my head. On a white background or lighter color, What color do you prefer to start with a dark or Lighter color or value? Great series
On a light background, I prefer to start light and move darker with each layer. I do plan to get to that with this series, plus have experiments with some more complicated problems. I really want to dive deeper than value contrast and explore some of the problems we faced in color design classes, like how to keep a design a close value to the background but have contrast through temperature or intensity.
This video deserves a million views, nice one.
Thanks. I doubt it will get it. I feel like those of us that like this stuff are a small community.

Thank you. There is good infinite there on it applied to oinstriping, but it isn't super easy to find. Trying to make that easier.
@@JackFlemingArtistry And doing a fine job along the way…
So glad i found your channel. So cool to find someone that's stripes colors with value color... i have always striped that way!
The first time I heard somebody mention it, it immediately made sense to me.
Digging the concept of this series! Thanks for teaching all this
Tip of the iceberg. I have been contemplating this series for over a year.

Very informative, I know a few tattoo artist who need to learn this theory lol.
Seriously though you must be a super brilliant piercing artist with great powers of observation
@@tattoocollective2599 OMG I am. Get off the tablet and get to work.
I am trying to keep it so that the principals can apply to many trades in art.
Looks great bro as always 🤘🏼😎👽
Thanks
Love it.
You are the man keep it going please.
@williekaufhold4453 thanks. Been playing catch up on customer work, but hope to get back to this series soon.

Part 2 brought me here. Im a rebel. I do things differently 😅😂
I am not trying to say that there is a specific way to do things, just trying to explain how it works.
