I def feel ya, its so hard sometimes to figure out what's the best thing to do first, or what you should spend your time on. Older you get for sure. I'll be 40 in a few months, can't believe it. I'd like to do more car shows and stuff, motorcycle shows. Need to buy a van and box trailer

I will turn 45 this year. I feel sometimes like I want to start slowing down a bit.

I also struggle with the reality of: Art shows are great/ Not making enough money to cover the table+expenses. I tell myself it is all Investing in Marketing.

@chrissoprano5360 i would say probably 75 percent of my work over the past 3 or 4 years has come from people I met while at car shows.

@DaveCurtis-b3u thank you for watching. Hoping for a less stressful 2025. At least for me, I want to do everything. It is hard to pick a lane and stay in it.

If you have too many small specialty signs and license plates then you can handle, then I suspect you are not charging enough. I would suggest raising your prices on these items. Yes, you may loose some business, but ultimately you will make the same money with the increased pricing and you will be spending less time on these types of projects. Do some research on what you were charging last year, the year before that and so on. Have you been raising your prices over time? If not, you are loosing money. People always ask how much do I charge? One way of determining this is based on workload. If you are overwhelmed on work, then you should raise your prices, IMO. Jack, you do excellent work and the customers who want you to do their artwork will pay the higher prices. The tire kickers may not want to pay a slightly higher price, but the loyal customers who are willing to pay, will more than make up for it and you will be maximizing your time. Great video.

@jeffsimon3114 i agree. For the time being I have simply been informing people that I can't take smaller jobs at the moment due to work load and time constraints. I do raise my prices over time, but agree that it is time to raise them for these smaller jobs.
