@@gregbrown3283 I don't know about that. It's him that took the band in that mainstream direction when the original band split. He couldn't have been that worried about the fame.
I knew they weren't really playing but when the camera showed the drummers kit, those are Pearl rubber muffle pads so the drums make ZERO noise. I had those back in the 80's for practicing.

This vid reminds me of the 1985 series "Rock 'n' Roll Summer Action" (aired on ABC, and apparently a Dick Clark production). It invites a cross-reference to the "Dancin' on Air" (local to Greater Philadelphia; had a sister series, "Dance Party USA" on basic cable) episodes set on the South Jersey coast.
I loved The Human League, but I can't say I remember any of their videos or saw them live. Then again, I wasn't an MTV fan. The base singer reminds me of Arron Nevil (in reverse (Big guy, high baritone, not big guy, deep base)). Still, the late 70s through the mid/late 80s had the best and most diverse music. Then again, I was told in phyc class, your musical taste freezes in high school, mine did, with a wide range.
It took me 6 tries to find this song after they played this beat in the middle of time out during tonight's Sunday night football it was a good one. Just sayin
I don't know about anyone else but the girls are doing typical 80's dancing...especially the one on the left. When I danced my kids would always comment on my arms... "Why do you have to move your arms like that, mom?" Haha

I STILL do not hear a guitar track on this song lots of keyboards, bass guitar, vocals but no guitar. Yet there'sa guitar player here as well as the actual music video. If there is one, it must be buried in the mix. Would love to hear the isolated guitar track on this great song...if there really is one.😎👍
Ironically, the first single they performed on this TV special was the first one they actually played a guitar on called “The Lebanon,” which was their current single at the time of this programme.
Amazing watching Laura Branigan making the introduction for Human League. ❤
She was amazing good energy
She was gorgeous and talented! What a sad loss.
