I discovered Bulgaria in 2006, Wonderful country, Lovely people, Great weather, All at low affordable prices, I have spent many many happy holidays there over the years, I have flown and driven from the UK many times, Last year i finally rode there on a motorcycle with my son on the back, Traveled through many countries camping, However Bulgaria was our favourite, If you have never been i can fully recommend Bulgaria as a destination, Try a kebab at Popovo or a slice of pizza at Kaufland, Cheap good food for the traveler on the go, Bulgaria has so much more to offer than just the tourist areas on the coast, I hope i can make it to this event in May, I feel sure it will be worth the travel to get there.
Looks awesome Pavlin! I'm from the Netherlands and will start a journey to Central Asia starting this weekend. Bulgaria is on my wishlist of places to visit and I think this meeting will fit in my time schedule! Hope to see you there :)
Hi Pavlin. I be been watching your videos for a few years now. I like the philosophy you are approaching motorcycle travels. Your are doing a great job. We are three friends form Larissa city located in central Greece. We had decided to spend a few days discovering the Rodope mountains and then travel up to Varna in the mid of May. Yesterday I saw your post and I am already working on modifying our schedule so as to participate in this exciting moto-meeting at least for one evening (possibly Friday or Saturday). I will be glad to meet too personally. Vangelis.
Bulgaria is BEAUTIFUL! We holidayed at Sunny Beach in 2003, toured the area and met the lovely people, enjoyed the culture and wonderful hospitality, always intended to return, but life got in the way! I say to anyone , just GO and you will not regret it. Cheers DINO and PANDA.
I’m planning my first solo European bike tour this year and your videos have been invaluable, some excellent advice. A friend of mine has just moved to Bulgaria and he says it’s a wonderful place. I hope next year I bike down to see him. Take care - Mike
Hello Pavlin, I'm a student from Germany watching your videos for a few months because they seem to be made exactly for me: Right now I'm doing an Erasmus semester in Sofia until May/June - and last year I bought a '95 Transalp to explore Bulgaria and the Balkan countries in the summer. I plan to take it to Sofia during the easter break and I'm so excited about this. I hope I can make it to the BAG Meetup, it sounds amazing. Thank you so much for all the helpful information - I really appreciate what you say about treating people, being thankful, and respecting cultures. Maybe we will meet sometime and have a chat at the campfire? Greetings from Sofia!
Hi Simon, it will be nice to meet for a coffee if you are currently in Sofia. You can hear more about BAG and meet some local riders. Send me a note if you are interested.
Pavlin, I fell in love with Bulgaria when I was enroute for my trip to Turkey last autumn. I said to myself “Leo, next year you have to come back and visit Bulgaria properly.” This is tempting. Mid of May… this might work, will try to plan a trip and possibly show up for one night. 😊
I can feel what you feel when you say you're proud to be Bulgarian. In France we have a park called the Puy du Fou, and it gives me shivers every time I go there and even watch their video clips on UA-cam. It's a good thing we have such places to preserve national heritages, despite all those who try to destroy it (they say "deconstruct") . I wish I could come to the meeting on my way to Siberia but unfortunately it will be too early for me. I hope I will have enough time to visit the park and Varna on june, as you awake my curiosity about Bulgaria. Thank you for that !
Excellent, well done. I'm returning to riding having retired a few months ago. So it is a bit too soon for a trip to Bulgaria, I need to spend a year exploring England and Wales first. But perhaps next year. Thank you for an inspirational post.
A little short notice for me this year, as I only learned about your excellent channel a few days ago - but definitely something to plan ahead for next year, as I‘m planning a big ‚midlife crisis’ mile munching road trip around my home country (Bosnia), visiting all the cultural sites, monasteries (maybe even Mount Athos, but of course without the bike) and the good people all around the Balkans. Hope showing up on a sports tourer (or even a Goldwing) doesn’t disqualify me from blending in with you Adventure Travel folks. Anyway, I wish you great success and hats off to you and your friends for organizing it!
Great stuff Pavlin! I was actually just checking out the rout to "the Varna Dam" near Sofia!! when I saw this video :) Thanks for all your information so far ;)
Thank you for all the Bulgaria (and moto travel) insights! I've been going through a lot of your videos in preperation for my upcoming trip (first long camping oriented trip). I'll be coming from Spain, and I expect to cruise into Bulgaria around end of June/start of July. Very curious to see it in real life!
Thanks for sharing the event and the details. Well described. I love this series about your home country. I would like to come one day for your BAG unfortunately this time is colliding with my already planned motorcycle trip. Is it the same time every year?
Здравей Павлине, ние сме група от Словакия и началото на юни ще пътуваме за около 4-5 дена в България - аз съм българин и навих останалите да пътуваме до България - ще се радвам ако се засечен някъде по пътя.
That's nice, hope will come lot of people's from the neighbours country's , my opinion the best moto minting is in Trebinje Bosnia, but is good to visit all of them including Bulgaria, Macedonia, Grecce, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia cherrs
Unfortunately finances wont allow me to join on such short notice. I`d love to have driven mij Suzuki DR650 from The Netherlands. I know someone in Varna so i could combine it. Maybe next year i will join. I want to salute you for organising it. Keep them coming.
I would have come, but this is too short notice; I already have a ride to Greece planned. Next year tell your viewers in autumn/winter so we can plan ahead. It looks like a good destination.
Hey i really like your channel and i want to start in the Trail world. Between Ktm adventure 390 and cb500x honda which one would you recomend for me?. Greetings from Spain. I cant take bigger bikes beacuse here in Spain you need to wait 2 years after getting the moto license to ride bikes bigger than 35kw. My dream bike is your Yamaha T700
Will stuff be largely in English or will I struggle to understand what is going on? Are there toilets and showers available if I camp too? Many thanks. Phil
@@motorcycleadventures superb. I’m in if I can get time off. Going tent shopping online now. Over 2000 miles from Isle of Man which will be interesting.
I'm in Sweden, my wife's from BG we use to stay in Haskovo. Do you know if it's possible to rent a bike? I would like to ride up in the Rodopi mountain area.
I live in the USA and it will be difficult to come this year. The pandemic and Biden’s horrible economy has slowed travel some. Eastern Europe is on my list and now Bulgaria is at the top of that list. I’m sorry to miss this event and meeting you. Ride safe and have fun. 🇺🇸
Looks very interesting, wish I could visit. Tell me, in the yurt, where do you go for a pea in the middle of the night? Sorry, I did not like the music, very boring.
Looking forward to the event and seeing you again! Thanks for setting this up.
Any time!
