Is this suitable for smaller dogs (Papillions) & if i have 2 dog collars do i need to subscribe and pay twice for full funtions
The latest rev to the halo2 software does not allow you to recalibrate your collar and mine shows my dog about 50 ft from where she actually is, with no way to correct it. She has now been wearing it for about three days and even though it's supposed to self calibrate it doesn't seem to work.
So I'm at a loss on what to do, I would like to be able to go backwards to the last software I had that let me manually calibrate manually..

Looks like you can use all three
All of the above and often times inconsistently while your dog is trying to rest in the house. These "virtual fence" boundaries often stray. On the flip end, some times any feedback be it vibe, shock, or beep comes seconds past barriers being crossed. Hopefully not seconds too late.

Hi Isiah! The Halo Collar will work for pets who are a minimum of 20 pounds and 5 months old!
Good for lap dogs that aren't very active. Active decent sized dogs will break all the fancy electronics in this with ease. Would you clip your cell phone to your dog collar and not worry? This collar with it's assortment of delicate electronics will fare about the same. I am on the fourth collar since 2021 and quit bothering with replacements in the summer of 2022.
Does it work on heavily forrested property?
Currently, the Halo Collar may have some issues being exact with the location if the area is heavily wooded. However, customers have had success correcting this issue by adjusting the thresholds on the Halo Collar app. We take into account all feedback from our customers and we are constantly working on improving our products to keep our furry friends safe at home and everywhere you go. How many acres does it cover?
Hi and thank you for your interest in Halo Collar! Our smallest Fence size recommendation is 30 feet by 30 feet; but it can go up to a total of 1,200 sq. miles, or 780 thousand acres! I've included a link below with more information as well!

If you have a snowy, rainy or a cloudy day, the collar does not work and the dog gets beep at, zapped or yelled at even if it's sitting within your yard. Confuses your pup and they do not learn because they don't know what they might be doing wrong. Be careful, you dog will have to pay the price. Worst investment I ever made.
what happens when your phone is out of service though?
The Halo Collar is GPS enabled pet containment system so cellphone service is not needed for the Fence Boundary Feedback. Cellphone coverage is needed to see the exact location of your fur baby and I’ve included a link below with more information. It’s worthless if it doesn’t give the dog a shock. A shock hurts way less than a car hitting the dog.
Hi! Halo collar supports hundreds of combinations of prompts from sounds, vibration, dog whistle and static feedback to train the human first and THEN the dog. If your dog does not respond to the positive stimulus, the system can admit a static feedback prompt if you choose.
I found the Halo collar a very poor product. I bought a collar back in late 2020. Had multiple issues with it not working. Returned for a refund. This all took about a year to send it in multiple times and then to get the refund. In late November of 2021 they came out with an updated version. Claimed they had fixed all the issues. I applied my refund for the new collar. Upon receiving the new collar the same issues persisted. My dog would get beeps and corrections when no where near the boundaries. Corrections and beeps would be delayed. In the summer of 2022 it quit working all together. Would not charge.
I would not count on these collars to completely safeguard your dog. The quality is not there. The connectivity can be spotty with anything on cell data or gps. They should not put your pet's safety on this. The workmanship and reliability is not consistent. Might as well spend the $ on fencing or an underground dog fence. If you do try it out, please be aware of the very short window of time to return it. A 60 day return policy melts away fast with training and product shipping.

Ok but 700 DOLLARS
I have one, it's a nice expensive brick. Barely worked. Always broke. You'll be on hold for hours on customer service trying to get any kind of help.
Halo is a garbage company. The collar doesn't work, customer service is horrible, the app is trash, so is the website. Basically nothing works for $600 and you get to go through the super awesome mail return process.
