I have the pelham blue one. It sounded "off", too. In this one, the bridge gnd wire was connected to a leg on tone pot. I moved it to back of the pot, and it sounded great after.
nice guitar brother! last spring i got the epiphone LP special with p90s and dont regret it at all...sure i had to fix a couple high frets but im super lovin that thing! ive no idea whats going on with the stock p90s but they sound sweeet! nice clean tones kool knarly overdrive tones and did i mention it surfs like no ones bidness wooo!!! i think it is my best surf guitar! who woulda thought a LP could surf so good??
@@gtoneguitars I am guessing you ordered a Squier debut. I think you will get a better result with the Squier. I will definitely watch the video. Lol If you are into play the same riff on each guitar to compare. Some folks say the Fire Flys are hit or miss. On another channel the guys says there a fake fire flys being sold as well. Crazy!
I think you'll find the pickguard has it's plastic on it.
