Good morning Angela, your such an inspiration to Not just those who have and or are getting dentures, but to all that just really need to snap out of it and cling to your words This too Shall Pass. I at 63 ( for me that is just way too young ) am going to get my hearing aids. Yep, hearing aids. I am so excited! I didn’t know what to expect and guess I still don’t know, but all I know is that Iam sick of the extreme Tinnitus in my Rt. Ear and sick of not being able to hear and or process what’s being said in watching a movie etc, and having to constantly ask someone to repeat 😅. I go next Tuesday and I cannot wait to be turn the radio on and or my favorite Christian music CD and understand the words being sung. I could go in with a new attitude: so thank you for reminding me to keep my positive attitude and just know that I have to wear them ! PERIOD. Thank you bunches sweetie. Your look radiant Angela. Karla in Ok.

I gained weight when I got my dentures before I couldn’t eat much cause how bad my teeth were and I was eating pretty much normal after 3 days after my extractions.I even enjoy foods I never did before which is weird and I love crunchy stuff now.
I’ am scheduled for dentures on my top only on the 22nd of August. Very unexpected and not a choice I would have ever chosen. My physical health and new medications I’ve been on plus having weak teeth my whole life with broken teeth abscesses etc. since a teenager I’ve found myself here. The only thing I’ve ever known about them is only old people have them and they fall out, your face sinks in etc. I’m embarrassed and ashamed this is my only option left! I already have low self esteem and I am only 52. I think about what my husband will think, also family friends etc. I appreciate you sharing your journey and it makes me realize attitude is everything. Send some prayers my way that I can adjust to this new normal and that my physical health will improve also.
Happy for you. I got mine 3yrs ago at age 68. They are so uncomfortable even after going back for a refit that they stay in the drawer. My experience is definitely broken. I couldn't imagine suffering with them in my mouth while trying to get used to them. I'll just continue to eat with the 5 teeth that remain.
Hi Angela, when you clean your dentures before going to bed and putting them back in your mouth, do you have to use something to help them stay secure, or do your dentures fit well without anything? And are you concerned about bone loss faster for wearing your dentures all the time other than when you clean them? Thank you!!
@@sandrag.mcalister3308 Hi ❤️ I do not use adhesive daily although I tested several to see what worked best and I have a video sharing my thoughts 😘 I personally don’t think wearing or not wearing dentures contributes to bone loss, I think you are just gonna have bone loss when you have no teeth anchored to the bone. So far at 4-4.5 months my dentures fit as well today as day one. I hope this helps 🙂
@@marinaojeda1647 I had my 18 extractions pulled and immediately got dentures placed… before having those extractions, I was missing most all of my back teeth..
I just got my denture 2 weeks ago. I go back tomorrow the 19th to get the bottom denture. The top one i will get a reline on it. My top Denture feels really heavy and thick. Is it because my dentist has only given me the top. I have tried to eat with the top one and end up gagging because food is catching where the Denture end's and the back of my mouth, gag reflex. Will that change when I have the bottom as my goal is to where them all the time and take out for cleaning purposes only
@@vtredneck8349 hi. I haven’t experienced gagging with my dentures, definitely something to address with your dentist. Sorry I can’t provide any insight

You can create a video with your dentures.

May I ask how long did go without teeth or lack of teeth?
