I love how we hear Morgana in her more normal, dare I say warm attitude, as opposed to her getting into a shouting match with her sister every time you hear her voice lines in League.
The only “screaming” lines she has in the game are combat lines, like casting abilities and using attacks, clearly you haven’t played morgana, if you did, you wouldve heard the other lines of her

Their interaction is still entirely non canonical. Sylas is an arrogant young man, who caused much suffering to others, meanwhile in this game he is entirely different. In truth, Morgana would likely punish him, or teach him that his perspective is wrong by forcing him to experience the same suffering he would cause to others. The path to redemption is a painful one :D

Magic doesnt make you near omnipotent just because you have it. Remember, these mages were forced to hide their magic for years, even decades, they have no idea how to use it properly. Given, unless they are stuck inside the prisons for a majority of those years (Like Sylas was a young boy). And petricite, which dampens the effects of magic tenfold.

ever since i started playing league i always assumed morgana was evil because of her dark appearance and her dark magic and that kayle was straight up the good one but holy shit was i wrong it's the complete opposite
they arent evil, the root of their action is the same. Judge people, and punish them acordingly, till justice is served. Its just while morgana is compassionate and gives chance for redemption even to the guilty, kayle is more like a machine. She will always serve justice, regarless of the circumstances of the wrongdoer, and the wronged. For example: lets say a guy r*pes your sister, and you beat the guy half death. Morgana will give a chance to the guy to fix his wrongdoings, but if he misses that chance, he dies. And she will scold you, perhaps sentence you to phisical labor for a short time. Meanwhile kayle will simply castrate the r*pist, cut of your hands and call it a day. And this difference in their viewpoints is what separates them. Its basicly: kayle is like 80% aspect of justice, and tries to get rid of the 20% humanity, while morgana is 60% human, and she tries to get rid of the 40% aspect. Thats why she sealed her powers, threw away her sword and went into seclusion

It makes sense that not all mages were evil, and if Demacia rejected them from the very beggining Kayle and Morgana would have been dead even before they were adults, they grew in Demacia after all.

But yes Demacia wasn't agressive towards mages, its even mentioned in Kayle's story, however, the way the game tries to present their situation is just made up. They only saw Morgana and Kayle as protectors, because their powers were gifted from the gods, not because they possessed magic. Also, the Demacians wouldn't have been able to kill the sisters, even at a young age they would have been extremely powerful.
Morgana was always the better sister. Demacia not being ready for Kayle's judgment is expected, since they're like a police state with a million restrictions and an oppressed caste. Ironic since Kayle's vision is just as tyrannical, and by her own standards, if someone else were to judge her, she'd fail too.

Morgana was never evil, neither was Diana. Maybe they were in the old story, but in the current one they never were. Out of the two sisters, it is Kayle who could be described as "heartless" or "evil", but in truth neither of them are. This game really does rewrite Morgana's character in a horrible way, but I'm afraid you just don't know enough about the lore to understand it :/

Its incredible how much they rewritten their backstories, its truly a downgrade. I don't think they should have changed it (this way at least), because it worked so well already. Demacia at the time of the sisters was only a settlement, not a real city, and of course, mages weren't present on the level the game states. The story is ambigous about them. So when the game says that "people began to think Demacia was founded as protection against magic, not from evil" its wrong, because the people did escape to the petricite forests from the Rune Wars, and there was no utopic mage society existing in Demacia. Morgana's personality also doesn't fit the game, and she also isn't hiding because she is afraid of Kayle's return. Its never explicitly stated why, but most likely because she is wise and knows she couldn't solve the problems in Demacia by herself. Some minor inconveniences are also present, like when they call Morgana by her name, in reality they shouldn't know what is her name because she is so old, and only a few people would even know the stories about her. Also, why does Sylas behave like this? He is a self-righteous and kind of arrogant person, who only thinks he is doing good without seeing the consequences. He wants good, but he has no wisdom, and therefore he is a flawed but interesting character. This version doesn't possess those attributes
And it didn't say that morgana fears Kayle's return. It's just that when she comes back a lot of people will die. She isn't afraid, she's compassionate.
Morgana's story and origin is still of Targon, they just protected Demacia is all. Plus, she's not hiding cuz she's afraid of what will happen to her. She's afraid to repeat what happened ehen they duked it out, and her father became collateral. Morgana doesn't want senseless violence at rhe expense of others.
They not rewrited much things. When sisters lived in Demacia it already had some cities(Canticle and their bios as well if I remember right states it). Morgana personality also not really changed.

? Firstly it was not Zedfira but city were current demacian capital located, read Lux comic for proof. Also she not burned entirety of it, many buildings in city were destroyed because Kayle and Morgana not controlled their power during fight and it destroyed buildings and killed people as collateral damage. Not to mention it had nothing to do with mage tolerance, but Kayle wanted to smite violent rioters, while Morgana decided to protect them, and she is one of reason this riot ever started.

Now this is something I like: Morgana as a mentor to Sylas focusing on the aspect of justice that morgana herself represents instead of Sylas as bloodthirsty revolutionary that will kill innocents for the sake of the cause. NOW YOU CAN SHUT UP SKYEN!
Their interaction is still entirely non canonical. Sylas is an arrogant young man, who caused much suffering to others, meanwhile in this game he is entirely different. In truth, Morgana would likely punish him, or teach him that his perspective is wrong by forcing him to experience the same suffering he would cause to others.
The path to redemption is a painful one :D

Kayle is the far more ruthless, short sighted and emotionally distant of the two sisters who would rather burn a thief to death than spare them and offer them aid due to their poverty which lead them down a path to thievery.

Well they have petricite that helps with it if used right. And mages can be not good at using their power.
Magic doesnt make you near omnipotent just because you have it. Remember, these mages were forced to hide their magic for years, even decades, they have no idea how to use it properly. Given, unless they are stuck inside the prisons for a majority of those years (Like Sylas was a young boy). And petricite, which dampens the effects of magic tenfold.

Well, Kayle and Morg are not exactly good or bad. They represent the two extremes sides of justice.
They both good with different views and need each other.
they arent evil, the root of their action is the same. Judge people, and punish them acordingly, till justice is served. Its just while morgana is compassionate and gives chance for redemption even to the guilty, kayle is more like a machine. She will always serve justice, regarless of the circumstances of the wrongdoer, and the wronged. For example: lets say a guy r*pes your sister, and you beat the guy half death. Morgana will give a chance to the guy to fix his wrongdoings, but if he misses that chance, he dies. And she will scold you, perhaps sentence you to phisical labor for a short time. Meanwhile kayle will simply castrate the r*pist, cut of your hands and call it a day. And this difference in their viewpoints is what separates them. Its basicly: kayle is like 80% aspect of justice, and tries to get rid of the 20% humanity, while morgana is 60% human, and she tries to get rid of the 40% aspect. Thats why she sealed her powers, threw away her sword and went into seclusion

It makes sense that not all mages were evil, and if Demacia rejected them from the very beggining Kayle and Morgana would have been dead even before they were adults, they grew in Demacia after all.

But yes Demacia wasn't agressive towards mages, its even mentioned in Kayle's story, however, the way the game tries to present their situation is just made up. They only saw Morgana and Kayle as protectors, because their powers were gifted from the gods, not because they possessed magic.
Also, the Demacians wouldn't have been able to kill the sisters, even at a young age they would have been extremely powerful.
Morgana was always the better sister. Demacia not being ready for Kayle's judgment is expected, since they're like a police state with a million restrictions and an oppressed caste. Ironic since Kayle's vision is just as tyrannical, and by her own standards, if someone else were to judge her, she'd fail too.

Morgana was never evil, neither was Diana. Maybe they were in the old story, but in the current one they never were. Out of the two sisters, it is Kayle who could be described as "heartless" or "evil", but in truth neither of them are.
This game really does rewrite Morgana's character in a horrible way, but I'm afraid you just don't know enough about the lore to understand it :/

Its incredible how much they rewritten their backstories, its truly a downgrade. I don't think they should have changed it (this way at least), because it worked so well already.
Demacia at the time of the sisters was only a settlement, not a real city, and of course, mages weren't present on the level the game states. The story is ambigous about them.
So when the game says that "people began to think Demacia was founded as protection against magic, not from evil" its wrong, because the people did escape to the petricite forests from the Rune Wars, and there was no utopic mage society existing in Demacia.
Morgana's personality also doesn't fit the game, and she also isn't hiding because she is afraid of Kayle's return. Its never explicitly stated why, but most likely because she is wise and knows she couldn't solve the problems in Demacia by herself. Some minor inconveniences are also present, like when they call Morgana by her name, in reality they shouldn't know what is her name because she is so old, and only a few people would even know the stories about her.
Also, why does Sylas behave like this? He is a self-righteous and kind of arrogant person, who only thinks he is doing good without seeing the consequences. He wants good, but he has no wisdom, and therefore he is a flawed but interesting character. This version doesn't possess those attributes

She's afraid to repeat what happened ehen they duked it out, and her father became collateral. Morgana doesn't want senseless violence at rhe expense of others.
They not rewrited much things. When sisters lived in Demacia it already had some cities(Canticle and their bios as well if I remember right states it). Morgana personality also not really changed.
Sylas starts the game out as you describe him, he becomes like this during the game.
