I'm loving that many UA-camrs are reacting to the BeeGees lately, I was born in 1971 and grew up listening to them and their brother Andy Gibb. I feel like many kids today will never know just how influential the Gibb brothers have been on the world of music and it's sad to know that only Barry ( the eldest brother) is still alive. I remember many people put their music down because of the "disco" aspect but they were so much more than that. Barry and his brothers wrote so many hits for other people. Their catalog of music would probably surprise many people. Not to mention those harmonies...nobody can beat that. Thanks for showcasing their talent to the younger generations.
I grew up listening to them too. I was born in 84, but my mom and dad listened to 60's and 70's music. 80's was added in there too as I grew up. Music today just isn't the same. I stopped listening to new music afterthe year 2000ish. (Even after 1995, music started changing too much for me.)
Disco, yes, but what makes them so great (besides amazing voices and tune writing, of course) is how they are so influenced by R'n'B. That's what brings in the smooth songs like this one.
Jessica Lyme oh and since Billy was so curious about the fashion and he was groovin’ to the music- perfect movie for him to get to see and hear it all-
"You should be Dancing" or "Staying Alive" ....... Both fab from the Bee Gees ! Barry Gibb's duet with Barbara Streisand "Guilty" is also just brilliant ......
The way you just got right into the groove and started dancing and getting into the music...that’s me every time I hear these gold classics. I am right there with you... why don’t they make music like this anymore?! We need these feel good tunes.
I know your eyes in the morning sun I feel you touch me in the pouring rain And the moment that you wander far from me I want to feel you in my arms again And you come to me on a summer breeze Keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave And it's me you need to show How deep is your love, how deep is your love How deep is your love? I really mean to learn 'Cause we're living in a world of fools Breaking us down when they all should let us be We belong to you and me I believe in you You know the door to my very soul You're the light in my deepest, darkest hour You're my savior when I fall And you may not think I care for you When you know down inside that I really do And it's me you need to show How deep is your love, how deep is your love How deep is your…
I would love it if you could react to the Old Hits Medley live at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas. They did these sessions during their gigs where they took it back to basics. It's just the three of them around one mic and it sounds amazing. The harmonies are incredible. You can tell it's something they were used to doing. It looks so comfortable. Their movements around each other and hopping back and forth for their individual parts is so natural. You can tell these brothers lived to sing together and loved doing it.
4 decades of hits. Started singing on stages as kids. Became huge stars in Australia as late teens. Moved back to Great Britain to hit the music scene. Made it big there. Moved to Florida. Switched managers. Loved R&B and started writing songs like "Jive Talkin." Approached for songs for a new movie. Gave Robert Stigwood several that had already been written. Wrote a few more. Movie made it big in America along with their songs. Movie and songs were dubbed "Disco." Toured the US in 1979. Pushed out of music because everyone was "sick" of disco. Started writing hit songs and producing for others Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Kenny Rogers, Barbra Streisand etc. Got back onto the music scene with top hits around the world and continued making more music. The rest is history!
Will say this I thank you for your service I was a combat corpsman for 6 years with the marine corps .... I love your energetic reactions been watching for a while making sure I would like them . Thank you. Now a subscriber
Billy, please react to their early-before disco stuff! Nights on Broadway Fanny What kind of fool - featuring Barbara Streisand (this will blow your ears out!)
BABY BOOMERS IN THE MID TO LATE 70’S WERE WORKING HARD 9 TO 5, 5 DAYS A WEEK AND ON FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS WE WENT TO DISCOS TO HAVE FUN. GOOD TIMES AND GOOD MEMORIES !
Correct the second best selling album and best selling soundtrack ever of all time - with 63 million certified sales (including all streams and mp3 downloads)only Michael Jacksons Thriller was better : chartmasters.org/2017/04/cspc-bee-gees-popularity-analysis/65/
You did such a good job of containment, Billy..... It looked like you just wanted to stand up and sway away with the woman of your dreams (maybe, Shania?? lol) Thanks for your reaction to the BeeGees.... I never get tired of listening to them or listening to the reactions to them. Be well... take care. Peace.
1 question for you Billy. From doing all these reaction videos. Is there a genre of music you thought you'd hate, but after listening, you found you really liked?
Billy, I was nodding and going "you are so correct" when you were talking about the fact that they don't make music like this anymore lol I feel so old when I say it but it's true! I don't get the music nowadays and I grew up in the late 80s/early 90s haha anyway, there's something about Barry Gibb's voice that I absolutely adore. I hope you react to more Bee Gees music soon. really enjoyed this reaction 😊
If you look up Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, you will be amazed at how many hit songs that he wrote not only for himself, but for other singers. The soundtrack to Grease was mostly written by him, if not completely written by him
Hey man! I stumbled across your channel by accident and it is awesome!! It’s kept me entertained while the insanity goes on. After I saw your Granger Smith video I posted it on the Yee Yee apparel page and now I see you got some gear on. That’s so cool. Keep up the good work!! Thanks for your service!
I listen to older music cause that is when it was one woman one man love a future together . Now it's how many people can you screw break up a couple drama ....And i do not like drama so i stick with the classics luckily being 33 and having a older brother and sister they both played such great music

*snicker* the first time I remember hearing this song was a Beegees medley done by NSYNC ironically near the turn of the century. LOL *adding -They also added Lean on Me, and said to the effect of You know this song, and I'm like ... no I don't lol
My dad was wondering if you could do Playing With the Queen of Hearts by Juice Newton and the other one is Once, Twice, Three Times a Lady by Lionel Richie and the Commodores.
THREE WORDS SIR: "TOO MUCH HEAVEN" BY THE BEEGEES. YUP
The Fatman absolutely agree!
YASSS!!!

The Bee Gees are Timeless!! I Love them!!
I could listen to The Bee Gees all day long. I thank God I grew up listening to them.

Always loved The Bee Gees and they wrote one of my favorite songs Islands in the stream.
whats even sadder is that Barry said with each brother they had a fallen out before they passed.
Tracey Clayton I know what you mean. I came from the same era you're talking about. Love them.
I grew up listening to them too. I was born in 84, but my mom and dad listened to 60's and 70's music. 80's was added in there too as I grew up. Music today just isn't the same. I stopped listening to new music afterthe year 2000ish. (Even after 1995, music started changing too much for me.)

The whole Saturday Night Fever soundtrack is worth listening to....
laura kali yes! And love the movie too- I’ve suggested to Billy to watch it-
Killer soundtrack.
Saturday Night Fever has an amazing soundtrack, but tbh it’s the worst movie I’ve ever seen.
Jessica Lyme guess it depends on the persons taste- I loved the music, dancing and young John Travolta- thought it had a decent plot as well-🤷🏼♀️✌️
Jessica Lyme oh and since Billy was so curious about the fashion and he was groovin’ to the music- perfect movie for him to get to see and hear it all-
Such a gorgeous song. I’m glad I was a teenager back then. We had fantastic music.
I loved the Bee Gees! I've listened to them since the early 70's probably. (Since I was born in late 65.)
One of the best love songs of all time! Their pre- and post-disco tracks are definitely worth looking into as well!
Gina C yes!!!!!
No Billy, they don't make music like this anymore. So blessed I was there in those times. 1977. Year I graduated high school and this album came out.
More Than a Woman is my FAVORITE Bee Gees song, please react to that one. Thanks for the video!
Bee gees are a classic all their music is good

Debbie Stuckey my first album of my own- I was 8 or 9 years old! Wore it out!!
OMG when I hear this, it takes me back to the 70's and the 80's. Love the BeeGees
Jive Talkin is my favorite Bee Gees song. Particularly the live version they did.
Bee Gees Greatest Hits has all the hits...and more...
The Bee Gees made great music that I still love to listen to after all this time.
Just one of their heartfelt songs
This tune hit #1 and started a string of 6 #1's in a row. The Bee Gees owned the late 70's.
everything they sang was great
"You should be Dancing" or "Staying Alive" ....... Both fab from the Bee Gees ! Barry Gibb's duet with Barbara Streisand "Guilty" is also just brilliant ......

Love this song. Memories of 1977
This is my all-time favorite Bee Gees song...
Bee Gees had a lot of great hits. This one is probably my favorite one. Or possibly Nights on Broadway.
Try "How Do You Mend A Broken Heart", "I Started A Joke " or "More Than A Woman" by the Bee Gees if you haven't already.
I started a joke is a great song, with Robin Gibb singing lead. It's a song from their earlier days. Love that song.
The Bee Gees were awesome! Bring back the classics!
could not agree with you more, a true classic, outshining today's "music"
Soooo many great Bee Gees song! Alot of great suggestions on here. I just want to suggest Fanny Be Tender With My Love. The Bee Gees masterpiece!
I know your eyes in the morning sun
I feel you touch me in the pouring rain
And the moment that you wander far from me
I want to feel you in my arms again
And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave
And it's me you need to show

How deep is your love?
I really mean to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down when they all should let us be
We belong to you and me
I believe in you
You know the door to my very soul
You're the light in my deepest, darkest hour
You're my savior when I fall
And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do
And it's me you need to show
How deep is your love, how deep is your love

The world today feels totally different then when this song came out and I can't put my figure on but it is different.
DIFFERENT GENERATION
@@GeminieCricket Yeah your right.
The general theme for today's music is "How Shallow Is Your Lust".
@@ckobo84 that is, unfortunately, very very accurate.
@@ckobo84 hah!😃 Truth has never been sadder.
Brings back memories from the 80s
All of their songs are fantastic part of the disco group
How can you mend a broken heart by the bee geese is a really good one
As teens we used to play this 45 record on 78 and laugh hysterically cuz they sounded like the chipmunks. Lol.
This is one of my husband & I’s favorites
Well, I’ll age myself, but I remember rollerskating to this.
SPREAD THE WORD LOVE TO AS MANY AS WE CAN!!!

1 question for you Billy. From doing all these reaction videos. Is there a genre of music you thought you'd hate, but after listening, you found you really liked?
As ONE of my favorite reactors said about this song and Too much heaven... this is when they use to sing to woman not at them.
When my dad had a band he sung this song. Even as a toddler I would dance to this song
You know Barry has never smoked, you see how long he holds that note
TOO MUCH HEAVEN is right on the money Billy.
old but gold
They make songs like this in Country. Country does fun songs, but more emotional songs like this. :D
I think this just healed me from the Coronavirus
Billy, I was nodding and going "you are so correct" when you were talking about the fact that they don't make music like this anymore lol I feel so old when I say it but it's true! Pamela Scott love it! We used to skate to it back in the day! Funkytown too!
You could check out their song "E.S.P." from the album of the same name. It was released in 1987 and one of my favourite albums by the brothers Gibb.
If you look up Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, you will be amazed at how many hit songs that he wrote not only for himself, but for other singers. The soundtrack to Grease was mostly written by him, if not completely written by him
you look like you are really getting into this group...too bad there is only 1 left but I feel you
A great love song hasn't been made in easily 30 years. Sad isn't it
You need to hear working my way back to you by the spinners . This song is fire
That song was originally by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and they did it better.
