As a 40 year old dude, I have to say that this band is a breath of fresh air. I felt embarrassed at first for liking them but hey great music is music. Thanks for making an “old” man feel nostalgic and warmhearted!
I actually think this whole scene trends a little older nowadays. People like me who were listening to tons of metalcore, post-hardcore, etc in their teens are now late 20's-30's and that trend is notable when you're out at shows. (At 29-30 now, I was there for the later part of that warped tour scene.) Even Dayseeker has been active for 10+ years. It's actually really wonderful. I remember being so self-conscious at shows when I was a teenager but now we're all like, working adults. Some people have kids with them there. It's so much more chill and non-judgmental.
We had the chance to open for these guys. Everyone says how absolutely talented they are but we can tell you that they are some of the nicest dudes on the planet

I was thinking the other day about how Rory's voice reminds me of Stephen's which I don't think he (Stephen) gets enough credit for how good his voice actually is since Anberlin never got that big. Been listening to you guys for a while now and I'm not about to stop. My 6 year old daughter requests this song almost daily, so you're gonna have to keep making music because you'll have support. The Dark Sun shined light in places you'd never think possible.

This is the first song I heard from this amazing glorious group, it was completely in the zone of all I could feel at that time in my life, a very dark time. I soon after found starving to be empty and I played it on loop for 2 hours crying the entire time, sad boy hours. Thank you for saving me last year.

I was absolutely blessed by my friend in Pierce the Veil who invited me and my family to see their concert. Dayseeker was one of the opening bands on the Jaws of Life tour and we were SO grateful to see them (they’re fantastic live if you have the chance to see them). The boys in PTV are genuinely amazing guys and I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting the boys in Dayseeker, but from the comments it sounds like they’re fantastic guys too… SO glad to hear that!!! And Rory, if you read this, I lost my father in 2019 and love and miss him SO much and in your music, it’s clear you love your father dearly… that love never fades. We all have a Father in heaven who cares for us… hang in there brother, He knows what we all need. Lean into family and friends, and speak to directly to The Lord and He will comfort you.
