@arqHHM Because 80% of Kpop fans know nothing about music. Any new group that debuts everyone goes "Ooohhh... Shiny!" BlackPink was a carbon copy of 2NE1. Babymonster is BlackPink with 2 more members. That's it. Nothing original about them.

Doesn't mean it's the same. Blackpink does it better, much better. Especially to western tastes(speaking better english has a lot to do with that, also having Teddy). Hence their much larger popularity. In time, perhaps Babymonster will carry on the torch and do it better than Blackpink.
