The very last year of a truly huge traditional American car by any manufacturer
I owned one on the mid 80s and never thought it would be a classic...now I'm a frikkin classic....damn time!!
My dream car
When Lincoln was Lincoln. Not like everyone else it tries to be today.
She's a beautiful classic car
I own ONE and luxury is the exact word! Excellent collector piece!
Just amazing quality, luxury and preservation right there, my goodness -- love the moonroof too!!
Even the music was vintage...I like it....
Nice - last of the era and a moonroof too.
Thanks for the great video work with good close ups and slowly moving over your object. Great looking survivor.
And still beautiful, striking
Beautiful beautiful car
what a beautiful car!!
I owned a 1976 the year was 1979 back then beautiful money green.
I´d buy one during college next year here in the Czech.
Impecable!!!!
What did something like this bring for a sales price? Should be A LOT, BEAUTIFUL
I have a 2004 Town Car That is my 4th one in 20 years, I am also the 5th owner of it, the color is Tan, it was “plain; not much chrome” on it when I bought, until I added more chrome on the wheel wells, doors and the taillights to give it a classic look like this 77. This model is whenI fell in love with them and it was my destiny to get one, and another and another, and so on until you can get them anymore. Mine is basically the same size as this model shown, the difference is that a total of 6 inches was taken off the trunk to give you more headroom, the width is still about the same size, and when driving it on streets and roads from 40MPH+ higher, the car feels like it floats. These Lincoln Continental/Town Cars are “THE BEST CARS MONEY CAN BUY!” I will NOT drive any other newer car, I will go back to an older classic if/when I can.
Now that's a real box 🚗 79 Linc. them ain't seats. them is couches. a true classic
One from Kentucky popped up "5 " miles !! Continental .. Cream color guys asking 40 k $$ ..
Also matching Mark V with "11" miles..
Omg. Whst a dreamcar.trunk so big u can put andre the giant in it
4:14 Did you catch what looks like the Buick logo on the trunk mat?
Yeah...I caught that too!!!
Yup, lol
rgrndu : I saw that, too!
Perfect Car
Back when you.could by a car wity a CB radio... it doesnt get any cooler than that.
The music sounds like it's from the classic Tetris video game!
If only it was offered with suicide doors. Otherwise, stunningly beautiful car. Absolutely love the color combination
Magnífico!!!
I just found one 79 40,460 miles in a garage for the last 26 years. Researching it now. What's it worth?
Nice video man!
How many Priuses do you think this thing could plow out of the way? xD
All of them!
This fool layin slabs in the showroom. Get that man from behind the wheel! 😆
clean😆👍👍
I am interested in buying this car! Give me the details, miles price etc.! Thank you!
Living room on wheels
Fill that trunk with water and you could go swimming in it.
You can fit a lot of women in there
You could fit 6 or 7 bodies in that trunk...just sayin'......................
DID I SEE A BUICK TRUNK MAT IN THE TRUNK ?
The original owners of the Lincoln probably took that mat out of their 76 Electra
What price for it?
I remember in the eighties and nineties it was very rare to see one of these in good shape and it was usually some big fat slob driving it because that was the only thing that he or she could fit in and they were usually full of rust and the seats tore up.
cool insight old cars are nice now but I do wonder what the perception was when they were still modern
@@muiscnight I was driving a 77 cream and cordovan town car from about 95 until 2005 and I got a lot of props and respect.

GatewayClassicCars how much did it sell for?
How cheap?
Then 1980 and it downsized
I like the color of the Lincoln, but I would prefer the interior be gray instead of maroon.
Marquis Williams I think that burgundy interior velvet is aaaamazing and striking up against the silver gray!
Should seats in a car be so plush? Somebody could fall asleep at the wheel!
I agree. Interior would look better grey.
@@varcade8 that is not burgundy that is cordovan.
Cannon
Great car, terrible 'music'
Should be plaque above glovebox w a name ..
Thats a 79 williamsburg edition .. Two - tone silver w cordovan interior ..
No, that is a two-tone Town Car. Williamsburg Edition did not have Opera windows or wide body side moldings. In 1979 two tone paint in a variety of Shades was available on Lincoln Continental sedans and Town Cars and the coupes. It was the only year that you could get a two-tone Lincoln not a Williamsburg.
@@danielulz1640 NO !
THATS THE COLLECTORS SERIES YOUR TALKING ABOUT !
I HAD WILLIAMSBURG EDITION SO PLEASE OK !! This EXACT CAR with plaque on glove box !
@@banditdane2710 Williamsburg Edition did not have Opera windows or wide body side moldings. I had a silver and grey 79 town car with red interior so I do know what I am talking about. 79 was the first year that you could get a two-tone Lincoln Continental, standard or town car, with two-tone paint but not as a Williamsburg. Collectors edition came in only two colors, solid dark blue or solid white with gold grill and wheel accents.
So beautiful, stunning really. Ever try owning one?
Horrible. Plastic switches, dashboard, everything - absolutely guaranteed to literally fall apart in your, the Lincoln afficando, hands. Garbage. Did I mention the motor?
Shiny objects.
Worthless.

Do I detect a hint of jealousy? I had a 77 from about 95 to 2005 and then a 79 from 2006 to about 2015 with very little trouble and no engine problems.
Horrible Music
some idiot will put low profile tires on this car
Excruciating music 👎
A car for selfish people!
my dream car
