      My learned friend the so-called European merchants were selective, They did not take ordinary slaves. Even back then we had no slaves in our lands. Enslaving someone is against African culture! These so-called European merchants, kidnapped skilled people like, physicians, carpenters, masons, engineers, lawyers etc and sent them to the so-called new world to make themselves rich, to develop the western world. To let the modern Africans both home and abroad blame themselves, they wrote lies and placed these lies in the lie-bury(or library) of African universities. Don't believe these lies, because our ancestors were not stupid as they want you to believe!

    Wode Maya is right. The white men used to pay some Ashantis to go and snatch people from the north to be exported as slaves. And at some point, the vast majority of slaves came from the north because people in the south had gotten wise to what was going on. We must not confuse prisoners of war who were customarily used as domestic slaves in Ghana at that time, and the trans atlantic trade in slaves. You can ask historian and lawyer Frimpong Anokye and he would confirm what Wode Maya is saying.

    • @johnnydarren8444
      @johnnydarren8444 22 години тому +3

      Listen lawyer Anokye Frimpong is not a real historian. He is from Nzemah and the first slave were captured in that's areas by chief Badu Bonsu in 1883 Ahantas sold his own brother and his brother's wife into slavery. And the Dutch captured him and sent his head to Holland. Salaga slave market in 1852 was done by the Hausas slave raiders, Mossi, Madinkas, Dagomas Babatu, Samore Toure., Bondugo, Kimtanpo and Kete Krachi. All the Black Africans were dealing in slavery sahel Africa from Senegal to Congo. Dahomey slavery 1852 was done by the Ewes tribes across volta region, Togo and Benin republic. Learn your history and stop exhibiting your ignorance attitude .

    • @KJ-or2om
      @KJ-or2om 21 годину тому

      @@johnnydarren8444 You are talking nonsense. Why? Because you are mixing all sorts of things together. In the first place chief Badu Bonsu sold his brother into slavery as a punishment . Secondly Wode Maya was only referring to the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade - the most brutal and inhumane form of slave trade. However you guys are talking about slave trade in general which shows your lack comprehension with regard to the point Wode Maya was making. I am sorry but you don't sound like someone who is well educated.
      And did you say ``All The Black Africans'´? Meaning you probably are a white guy, isn't it?? Then I am not surprised by your extreme stupidity.
      And last but not least Frimpong Anokye is one of the most brilliant historians in Ghana - who has said very good things about The Ashanti Kingdom. He is by far a better historian than that fool in the video above.

They have build their area into big farms and were very prosperous hence the Asantehene exclaiming " S33 Dadie so aba " meaning the cutlases he give them has produced something special hence the name "Dadiesoaba"

      Most black slave captors were done by the tuaregs of the Mali songhai empire that's why most people of these ancient African empire escaped to Morden day Ghana, be it Akans, Gonjas, mossi etc.

      Where wode maya comes from in the western region an area called Ahanta their Chief Badu Bonsu 1883 was a slave master who sold his own brother and his brother's wife into slavery and the Dutch captured him and sent his head to Holland. Awoin also in western region went and captured women and children from Asante region. The Chief was called Ebiri Omoro. And Asantehene sent Bantemahene to go after him and fight him and bring back the women and children. Dahomey slavery in 1852 was done my the Ewe chiefs Chief Agakoli, chief Jaja they did their slavery in Volta region, Togo and Benin republic. Salaga slave market was done by Hausas slave raiders, Dagomas Samore Toure and Babatu who work for Ya Naa. The Mossi also sell slaves. The Akwamus were selling slaves. So if you agree with him why don’t you bring the proof the historical proof from which year to which year were the Ashantis took slavery from the north . Maya should talk about how the Fantis and all the most of costal chiefs sell out ghana collaborated with white to come to deep places of ghan to loot our properties . Who led them to the deep ghana who led them to Kumasi . Start from there .
