So this guy made his own company, learned how to race a car and madr his own Race Team to compete in a car. And he is really good at it? Damn, hope he wins next year.
That's not even an insult, though. 'Unconsciously incompetent' is just the word 'ignorant' rephrased; if someone means to go around and insult people who are ignorant, then they're just an asshole, lol.
Very humble and knowledgeable guy! All the best to him and his future races. He will succeed. Thanks a lot VINwiki team, we appreciate your work a lot. You bring us people and stories we would never have heard of if not for your effort of presenting them. They're second to none.
What a great, disciplined, level-headed and yet still inspirational and aspirational video. Great to hear someone describe the very realistic real-world approach to racing without the "follow your dreams and passion and it will happen" fantasy jargon. Yes, what it actually takes is a lot of money and a lot of hard work. Along with the discipline required to make those things happen and work in conjunction together.
About $20,000 - $40,000 per round easily. Just to run and enter the car. Plus consumables. Plus repairs. Plus travel. Plus meals. Plus the price of the car. As he said, the cost of an Aventador, just to COMPETE. And not necessarily win. That costs even more. Racing a Lambo though - priceless. Nothing would compare.
Is a rich mans sport thats for sure. A lot of the young guys in it are from rich family's....... just how it is. Guy probably inherited his family business.
@@dons1932 Dude you know nothing you can go on 24h marketplace and if you’re good and win some races or podium for your class then go out for sponsorship and fyi it’s $20,000 and insurance is usually 1500 or 2000 a race for damage if done
The #71 Super Trofeo is driven by the only Sri Lankan international Motorsport star Dilantha Malagamuwa, who became P2 but was since the race got red flagged before he crossed the timing-line he was awarded P3. Such a entertaining race. Proud to be a Sri Lankan. Btw im LOVING this channel. Great work ED.

It’s pretty crazy when you realize the skill level involved in racing. But then compare it to the highest of classes and it’s just mind blowing crazy. Huge respect for motor racing in general
Another awesome video. You guys are my second favorite channel only behind Philip DeFranco. Have you ever considered having a second channel having your vinwiki guests speak on their business stories/success? I ask because I’m 23 and own my own business and just from watching this videos I see the crazy potential of your guests being successful on and off the track. Just how that guy broke down his goals I can see his aptitude for being successful in anything he does.
@@filipolofsson why are you hear just to tell a bunch of people in the comments "if they haven't started yet it's too late" ? You probably never started and figured out that you can't start, so you're stick playing arcade type racing games or any other game mate.
@@SkaterOrnez I placed 4th in the Swedish Rotax max challenge I placed 6 in the Swedish MKR And i've won a bunch of smaller competitions. I started karting when i was 6 and i'm now 15, a lot of people who have no experiance in motorsports think that they'll become racing drivers just because you have a racing car or the money. You can't be a succesful racing driver if you don't start early. And i have a racing simulator for off-season training.
'Ryan is just simply awsome..so matter of fact and comes across as a very cool guy...I especially like the fact he has paid his dues and acknowledges that..thanks for the great video. Keep them coming!

great video. Spoke fast and to the point. no car salesmen bs tone. To the point. This is why he owns the businesses he does. Notice his watch is worth more then most of the viewers cars. This man has invested more then a few million in this adventure.
At 8:30 it honestly looks like that guy came back onto the track with revenge trying to take Ryan out! It may not be the case but it 100% looks like it, he turned extremely sharp when he got back onto the track. A time when he should have been focused on accelerating out of the turn and keeping a straight line through traffic.
He's so inspiring, I've always been pretty gifted behind the wheel unfortunately I've never had the chance to get in to any kind of car racing but I did follow my dream of driving in a different detection and got my cdl I hope one day I have the funds to test how good I actually am with a race car
Coderbro_ I have no experience on Lamborghini race cars, but I do have a little street car experience. I once replaced all the left side suspension parts on a new Gallardo, that repair was pushing $30k. That looked like a pretty good hit, that car may have been ready for the glue works.
I nearly got killed learning to drive a 1989 Yamaha Serrow, I down shifted into 2nd and I got thrown off at 45 MPH hitting a patch of wet dirt with no helmet and nearly got impaled by a tree. At that point in time I knew I wasn't about to kill myself driving fast. Now I drive fast wearing a full race harness and a roll cage.
Growing up racing I know the frightening costs of racing. 15 years of experience across oval, dirt, and road racing. I can say this dude is easily spending over 1m a year. Travel expenses, paying full salaries to the team, haulers, tires, entry fees, extra motors & parts, backup chassis, etc. I can’t imagine what it costs to load his car on a plane and fly it to imola alone. Annnnnd he’s also gonna run PWC.
The biggest kick in the nuts is the age at which a driver should start driving, and the fact that you have to have semi-rich parents at the minimum. I'm 17, and i think it's too late for me to enter motorsport, ever since i was 6, i was dreaming of go-karting, but my parents didn't have the money for it. I'm learning programming in school and where i live programmers earn a pretty jaw-dropping money relative to other people in my country (about 5-6 times as much as a normal person), so i could start entering motorsport when i get work, but the problem is, i'm too old, and my dream of racing cars will forever remain in a wheelchair with a Fanatec in my hands.
my biggest tip is "if you still have that feeling like you're safe, you're slow." applies to all levels from MX-5 to F1 Also wtf was that guy thinking? I hope was was ban for a completely unsafe move like that.

Simple answer is a LOT of money. Ferrari Challenge cost around 1.1Million a year to compete so Super Trofeo should be around the same.

This video is pretty useful as Formula One is mad expensive but probably super trofeo and other small racing series might be cheaper
