Marie-Antoinette and Louis were kept inside Paris as of October 1789, 3 months after Bastille Day. Marie Antoinette had her papillon which is a mix of the Phalene and the chihuahua....
I visited Verseilles in 2007 and I assure you that there are ghosts in that place. I felt really bad in Marie Antoniette's room, I felt cold, I had the feeling of extreme sadness, fear and a lot of anger. I heard voices, sounds of metal banging, things breaking and footsteps. And yet, I was alone, on a stairway near the queen's room. I dragged myself to one of the gardens, where there was a fountain and this garden was dead; the air is heavy, there are no animals like birds, butterflies, nothing. Only this heavy silence. It is oppressive and that experience scared me to death. I'll never be in this place again.

There’s sooooo many people who lives in Versailles for many many years. It was even open to the public. It was busy. So any sighting doesn’t mean it’s Marie Antoinette already. It could have been anyone back in the day who live there. The nobles / courtiers pretty much all look the same and dressed lavishly.
The truly creepy part of this video is where you point out the disparity between the poor of France and the elite/royals. The fact that certain individuals of our race could be that inhumane is certainly cause enough for them to become a ghost. The story about the peasant women seeing Marie Antoinette sketching also got my attention, especially where you described them seeing parts of the grounds that don't exist anymore. That seems like confirmation. Thanks Amy, great job.
New Atlantean de Tocqueiville, the historian who wrote the history of the causes of The French Revolution about 60 years after the Revolution recorded the level of the living standard of of the French people was about equal to that of Liverpool and Lancashire in England at the time. It is recorded by Antonia Fraser who wrote a biography of Marie Antoinette that she formed a charitable group that used to go into the streets of Paris and aid people, children who were - yes - starving. She was frivolous and extravagant when she was young but she made a decision at an age when after teenage years when most of us do - and changed her ways and tried. That she did this is not recognized as it does not accord with the image wanted of her by people who may face the wrong that was done to her if, today, they concede anything to her. For facts proving what I say, Antonia Fraser outlines them, and they portray a more accurate portrayal of this woman than people find it within themselves convenient to do. She never said let them eat cake. This was said by the mistress of the king in the previous reign and was a reference to sweetbread which was cheaper and therefore cheaper to supply. She was framed-said to be a pervert when it was not true, she was framed in The Diamond Necklace Case - the transcripts available today to read- she rejected the necklace-Her reason? It was extravagant.
Watch the Sophia Coppola film, Marie Antoinette. It's the best depiction of both inside the palace and her life that I've seen. The book written by Sena Jeter Naslund, is the best depiction in book form. But the movie was actually filmed at Versailles.
France did use Queen Antoinette. She was young and unlearned and subjected to a royal house that was wicked. Her life touched me. Sad at the top sometimes. She did not deserve to die the way she did. The French were at times historically mean and merciless.
Marie's fate really was so tragic. She was far too young to be given the power she had, and even though she clearly wanted what was best for the people ended up just being someone they could take their anger out on when the real issue was that the wealthy refused to pay taxes like the poor did.
This video is literally so amazing, I've seen few videos regarding this palace but the way you showed it is just wow , i believe that their souls might be still lingering in this palace
I've been to Paris many times, and to the Versailles twice. Thanks for your video. I grew up in Malaysia where my Malaysian cousins would tell me ghost stories all the time. In that part of the world, you live with spirits and energies that have not moved on. My American lawyer trained, military trained, father would disagree with all of this but I always believed in the stories my cousins would tell me. So, it's not a stretch to believe that beings that have met tragic, sudden, awful deaths are unable to resolve their sudden demise and come to terms with it. It's just awful to wander aimlessly in the afterlife among the living. Quel homage ma reine!

Kathleen Fraser The King and Queen have been restored now in France. Louis XV1th was wronged in history - and so was Antoinette ( as her friends called her - and she did have friends! ). He applied himself, and did try to redeem what his predecessor, the real culprit, had done ( or not done ). Even most of Louis XV1th's detractors said he was a decent man. He was no tyrant and Marie Antoinette was framed day to day, ritually smeared year after year in the second part of her reign. Before that she was the most popular Queen with the people, in Europe, France included. The behaviour of her haters is a pinnacle example of the depths human beings can sink to when they hate. She was extravagant when young, but she changed. She made a decision to. The transcript of The Diamond Necklace Case reveals she specifically rejected the necklace saying it was an extravagance she refused to have anything to do with. Few have met their death so brave - something her haters found themselves compelled to concede in spite of themselves. Her story is a story of a shocking miscarriage of justice.

Yeah there was a room downstairs that had original furniture and paintings so they purposely had the lights down really low so as not to deteriorate the items any further. I came to one painting of Marie Antoinette as a young girl. I just out of nowhere started feeling really creepy and my hair stood on end . I noticed suddenly that I was now the only person in there and I just had this overwhelming feeling that I needed to leave. It wasn’t threatening just really spooky. The rest of the palace I didn’t feel anything. Just that room with original furniture. Strange.
Ahh I love the Scarlet Pimpernel! Written by the Baroness Orczy in 1905, the Scarlet Pimpernel can be considered the forerunner to modern superheros. Whoever wrote the Legend of Zorro was said to have been inspired by him, and Batman was inspired by Zorro. Best film, hands down, is the 1934 version with Leslie Howard. The Pimpernel is a rich Englishman who disguises himself and saves rich French people from the guillotine. Basically an aristo* writes a novel about an aristo who saves other aristos from the angry poor, lol. Alas, nothing spooky, just good fun. *aristocrat

I found it odd that this historical site barely has any security guards or information signs/maps to help tourists that roam around the massive property. It’s so easy to get lost. And are those paintings even originals? It could get stolen so easily if they are since I didn’t see them being secured at all. And what if some crazy people decided to spend the night in one on those properties just for fun? It looks doable 🤤
My father used to work for a very well-known art museum. It was told to me that all paintings have an alarm on the back. If the painting is lifted off the wall, the alarm is set off.
Some of these museums also have sensors that monitor the boundaries of the walkways. When a person crosses too close to the displays an alarm sounds. It happened to one of my classmates when they were goofing off and not paying attention to where they walked.

Though, she could be identified with her mild Habsburg jaw
The truly creepy part of this video is where you point out the disparity between the poor of France and the elite/royals. The fact that certain individuals of our race could be that inhumane is certainly cause enough for them to become a ghost. The story about the peasant women seeing Marie Antoinette sketching also got my attention, especially where you described them seeing parts of the grounds that don't exist anymore. That seems like confirmation. Thanks Amy, great job.
Thanks for watching. Yes, there were many problems at that time! Its a pretty interesting ghost story! 🖤🖤🖤
OH MY GAWWWWDDD I am obsessed with Marie Antoinette and Versailles! no one ever talks a bout the paranormal concerning her and Versailles
You're very welcome B! Glad you liked it 🖤🖤🖤
B .. its stinky 🎂 it's soooo botaful. ahhh ahhh SCREAMS
RIP Marie Antoinette 🙏. You deserved to be saved, and a better, happier life. 😔
With Versailles’s history and all of it’s occupants over the centuries how can it possibly be not haunted .
I've been lucky enough to visit Versailles. It's an amazing place. It's really beautiful.
So cool! 🖤
This was a good show I've always wanted to look inside this queens home wow and thank you for letting me see inside her home
No worries, Lenora! Happy to be able to show you around! Thank you for watching! 🖤🖤🖤
Watch the Sophia Coppola film, Marie Antoinette. It's the best depiction of both inside the palace and her life that I've seen. The book written by Sena Jeter Naslund, is the best depiction in book form. But the movie was actually filmed at Versailles.
@@MeredithHammett Yes!! My all time FAVORITE MOVIE!!!
All I can think of is how much manpower, artisans, and master builders it must have taken to construct something of that size and detail.
OMG I know!!! Love the architecture, amazing 🖤
I’m sure she still roams the palace halls. Having now understood and conquered the ideology of Versailles that she was never able to comprehend.
Thanks for watching, Georgie! She very well could still be there, interesting to think about! 🖤🖤🖤
My grandma's name was Marie Antoinette
Good name. Thanks for watching 🖤🖤🖤
My middle name is Marie I named my teacup Yorkie after Marie Antoinette
Alexis Waller same my middle name is Marie!
Amazing place...poor Marie Antoinette, i believe she haunts the Palace and the Petit Trianon where she lived and was happy...good video!!!... :)))
Thank you! It wouldn't surprise me if she wanted to continue spending time in the palace! 🖤🖤🖤
Yes she loved her place ...i think she visits it a lot and no one deserves such a destiny...sad… :)
We need to get rid of the trump administration the same way and they have done horrible things
@@joannajamerson35 Oh, good Lord!!
You must be related to Robespierre (Shifty) Shiff!! He certainly would've dragged out Madame La Guillotine, just to kill a man that he hates!!!
Jealous Socialists like you have always hated the wealthy because they wanted to have what the wealthy have!!
Yet, hypocrites that you Socialists are, the moment that you do acquire some wealth, you behave precisely like the very people that you despise!!
By the way, you can't impeach a man because you didn't get your way, and because you hate him because of your loss!!✝️⚜️
You must tell me what vitamins you take to get all of your energy! Seriously, one day, you're romping around such places like Versailles and the next day, you are somewhere else in the world. Remarkable! This video is particularly appealing because of the beauty and immensity of Versailles. The night shots are fantastic. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much! Haha, I don’t even take vitamins! So glad you enjoyed this one! 🖤🖤🖤
there is a ghost story about Gettysburg very similar to the one about the two tourist going back to marie antoinettes time. two secretaries in Gettysburg college were working late one night. when they got ready to go home, they got on the elevator . they pressed the first floor. but the elevator went down to the basement. when the doors opened it revealed a civil war field hospital. one of the doctors was waving at the secretaries to come in.
Oh wow! I hadn’t actually heard about this before. Very interesting. I’ll have to look it up! Thanks for sharing. 🖤🖤🖤
Can you give a link to this story? It sounds very facinating I would love to read more into it.
So hauntingly beautiful! The music adds the chills! Such breath taking scenery! 😍

I ask that GOD Jesus Christ of Nazareth grants them rest from their sufferings - their souls are received in heaven - rest in peace. Please.
@@ThePiratemachine Can you guys restore french Monarchy
Lmao
According to your Jesus you shouldn’t have to ask for rest they should already have it
@@joseyrobertson1686 No, you're wrong. Don't meddle in things you don't know anything about.

The ditch between the walls is known as a ha-ha, it gives an uninterrupted view across the parkland while stopping farm animals from entering the formal gardens
😯 *@**12:05**, a small orb appears out of nowhere right at your chin and flies forward. If you slow the video down you can clearly see that it's not a reflection from the camera lens because it's fuzzy around the edges and glowing. How cool!*
That is so cool! Thank you so much for pointing that out! 🖤🖤🖤
I just love Learining intrestining stuff About the French Revolution and its Dark times
I am much the same. Thanks for watching, Dave! 🖤🖤🖤
Strange.
Jacques the gardener of Versailles was murdered near the pathway towards the garden I’m surprise his ghost would not hunt the woods .
This lady was executed by guillotine..
I read about her in scarlet pimpernal novel. Where he saves people from guillotine and escape them to england.
Yes she was!!! Very sad in a way, at least for her children. 🖤🖤🖤
@@AmysCrypt have you read about scarlet pimpernal..
No I haven't, should I look into it? 🖤🖤🖤
@@AmysCrypt ya..
Alas, nothing spooky, just good fun.

the old artifacts in the house , the forest and the ligths looks creepy .
So creepy but beautiful at the same time. Thanks for watching, Rohan! 🖤🖤🖤

It’s a beautiful palace. So massive that we took the little train around. You can hire cycles too to go around. Walking will take you forever. The estates are magnificent as it the palace itself
The ghost of Ben Franklin was seen there, eh? Well, Franklin visited Versailles when he was in France during the American Revolution, Louis XVI supported the Americans in their fight for independence from Britain, but this led to the economic crisis in France that led to the French Revolution.
Beautiful shots again....very professional editing...well done!

@@AmysCrypt his name was Charles henri sanson
Was he not affected by taking that many people's lives?
@@Mila-bc2gh he never wanted to take over the position from his father apparently but accepted his role later on in life I believe this "just another day on the job" attitude is why the revolutionaries used his services rather than kill him. He was once asked how he sleeps at night and he basically said kings, emperors and generals do it all the time and they're fine
Thanks for watching! It is certainly easy to get lost there. The grounds are massive. Not really sure if the paintings are original or not. 🖤🖤🖤
Jane Hooten thank you..yes that makes sense. Why I didn’t think about it?😋
