- Gdańsk (German: Danzig) at the Baltic coast of Poland is a popular tourist city of the tricity area of (Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia).
We walked here before in Gdansk: • Walking in GDANSK / Po... , Sopot: • Walking in SOPOT / Pol... and Gdynia coming soon.
On this evening we start at the Gdansk train station from where we head towards the old town. While it is getting darker now we check the Hala Targowa - the market hall. In the old town next we see the many amber shops and pass the crane before heading over to the Ołowianka island.
We continue to the Town Hall and get back to the old town. There we see th efamous Neptun fountain with the town hall nearby. We are walking on the Royal Way and end this tour at the Golden Gate (Złota Brama).
Due to the darkness or too close focus(?) this video appears a bit blurry in 4K. Still a nice city and evening in fall that I hope you enjoy.

Cathedrals is so cool
I had no idea Gdańsk was such a beautiful city. I’ve always thought of it as being some sort of communist era Industrial center. But it is absolutely beautiful especially in the low winter light. Great walk and thanks so much for posting it. Would love to get to Poland someday. Very inspiring. - Henry
Gdansk and the area certainly improved a lot over the last decades. Sometimes I meet foreign students who have some university semesters there and they also love it. Outside of summer it's calm and only few tourists visit. Poland in general isn't overrun with mass tourism like most Baltic cities so I hope you can visit sometime. It's a nice area
Warszawa, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Poznań, Kraków, Zakopane, Rzeszów, Gdynia, Sopot, Toruń and many, many more are modern and very nice looking cities in Poland with plenty of atractions for tourists. Progres that Poland made since 1989 is incredible. When you think about Poland forget about dirty, grey cities, sad people, crime and other depresing comunist era stuff.. Fortunately, those times are over and Poles are very optimistic about the future, country is one of the safest place in EU ;)
Feel invited to visit Poland one day.
