"We don't have to live our oppressions, we can also live our celebrations and our joys." I love this, exactly why I love books like Heartsopper. We all need the balance of stories about all communities.
After the 4th Graphic novel there is volume 5 and volume 6. Nick and Charlie is after that. It's technically 2 years after the first volume of Heartsopper. It doesn’t really spoil anything so can be read at any time really.
Also, don't forget Solitaire. It's the Young Adult novel that Alice Oseman first wrote on this world and was published when she waa 17. The story is about and narrated by Tori, Charlie's sister and in it Nick and Charlie are side characters in an established relationship. Heartstopper is a prequel to Solitaire where Alice wanted to write about how the couple met and fell in love. In the timeline, Solitaire is in the middle of Volume 4 of Heartstopper in the 2 months after This Winter. Both of the novellas and Solitaire are Young Adult books and are a bit darker and for a 14+ age group. Heartstopper is appropriate for a younger audience: around 12+.
Such a great series. I read the books first, and then watched the show. So romantic and sweet.

This Winter, the novella happens half way through Volume 4. It's referenced in volume 4 on 2 pages.
