This is basically going to turn part of the Hollow Knight community into something similar to the hide-and-seek Super Mario Odyssey community. It is certainly a way to have fun in Hollow Knight, but the fact that this is made means that there is quickly almost nothing to do in Hollow Knight anymore except for mods and romhacks.

Just imagine that bunch of vessels capable of defeating the Old Light are just running about in Hallownest playing with eachother. They are aware of the state of Hallownest but... Who cares?
Honestly, if this were justifiable in game, I’d imagine a strange cycle where upon the defeat of either just the Hollow Knight or Radiance or even Nightmare King Grimm, the events start again and more souls capable of ending Hollow Knight or Radiance or Nightmare King Grimm pop up. As more cycles come around, the souls become aware that the Radiance is impossible to extinguish and that that king that created him doomed himself, so they ignore the task of defeating the Hollow Knight/Radiance and play tag with other souls.

1:46 I like how the prop movement even takes into account the 3D layers, so you can move behind what layers you want and blend into the bg.
What a phenomenal concept. Hollow Knight has so many iconic background objects and this is such a natural game mode for the game that I’m shocked it took this long.
Agreed. You'd think prop hunt would be one of the first multiplayer mods made. Obviously, pvp is always the first one, lol. But I would love if someone would make a working co-op mod for the whole game. Playing together with a sister or something would be amazing.
all "what no silksong does to a community" jokes aside, it looks more and more like the creativity of the modding community is limitless at this point
What would really be nice is if the modder added a point system for the hiders, where they get more points if they're moving. That might encourage more cheeky behavior instead of tryhards lol.
In most prop hunt games, It gives you points the longer you’re able to successfully hide.
@@AfromanRants yes, but he's saying that it might be more fun to get more points if you stay hidden for longer, but also move around a lot.

As someone who hasn't played Hollow Knight, this looks cool but there were so many cuts it was hard to tell what was going on and how effective the hiding spots were.
As someone who HAS played Hollow Knight it's still cut down far too much. Good editing could have made this so much better of a video.
it would be really cool to have entirely custom maps in hollow knight and for this prop hunt mode as well
This is such a fun concept! I've seen a lot of prop vs hunter in other games but it's really nice to see it in hollow knight, especially since it's a 2D platform. GG's to to the modder and players! It was fun to watch!❤
I do wonder if this would be scalable in a similar manner to infection tag, where props are turned into seekers after found and last prop standing gets to be first seeker?

I feel like the cutting here was a little much, I couldn’t get into any suspense. I also kinda like longer videos.
Honestly same. I like his content but i couldnt really get interested in this because i would much prefer to see whole rounds instead of just bits and pieces.

i'm imagining a chaos version of this where entire areas of the map are used (instead of just rooms) but the props are only able to stay as a certain object (or maybe in a certain room? or maybe just staying still?) for a certain amount of time before they have to move

Super fun video! If I could offer some advice: I have no idea who these people are, and it's hard to follow the flow of the game. If you could edit these types of videos into more of a narrative (show one or two people hiding, then show the progression of them being found, following specifically the players involved and highlighting funny moments) then it would be more engaging and help us learn whose playing better than essentially a start-to finish thread, where you cut between highlights in the order they happened, rather than logical order of the story of a particular hider.
You know how in gmod prop hunt you can taunt and play meme sounds? It would be fun if you could taunt here but it played character voice clips. Zote's scream, or Hornet shaw, etc.

Awesome idea. Is there no penalty to testing background objects? So a hider going in the background doesn't gain the benefit of that penalty deterrant.
I love prop hunt. But yeah, that grace period looks to be insanely short.

Here's an idea for @jngo102: change the name of the game from Prop Hunt to PROSK Hunt and have the default "prop" sprite be a miniature Nosk... Or "Prosk" since it's a N *osk* that takes the form of *pro* ps. You are missing a pale opportunity here!
Oh, and parroting everyone else (not sure if I'm using that term correctly) custom areas would be nice as well.
This was pretty cool to see, but I feel the frequent cuts make it hard to follow. If you showed more of the round it might be easier to determine things like “how long you spent trying to hide vs how long it took to be found” that sort of detail is often the most interesting part of the video.
