Great video it was vantastic you guys sleighed it no virgin videoing here you guys keep rolling these videos out .and keep up the great work
Love these longer episodes! And what a result, especially considering the short amount of time available. Been watching more of your older episodes and am continually amazed at what you guys can achieve. Aden is a star sculpturer and nice to see Sean in front of the camera more than usual.
_Really missed Jess though_
Looks great. You always rise to the occasion. I don't know why I didn't get my notice 2 weeks ago. I glad I thought to look you up. Have a good week.
Another fantastic project and video from the Studios. I know that these longer format videos take a lot more editing, but they are really great. This prop looked great in the final film, although the lack of a proper interior bulkhead is a little noticeable.
I wish that I could give this video more than one thumbs up.
magnifico trabalho de cenografia PARABENS......SCULPTURE STUDIOS
Another incredible project! Amazing job guys!
VANTASTIC!!!!!
Very good. Very nice. My regards. Thanks to share it with us
That lathe is wheely great!
I love all your works save you
always love your work !!!
I love your work and I think the van was one of the most challenging. A curiosity, if you can answer: what was the cost of this project for your end customer?
Super.frome KAZAKHSTAN
Beautiful work. What do you use for the plastic coat? I’m currently looking for a good product to use as a sealer on the outside of a 3-D print. Thanks
VERY GOOD JOB... AND GREAT FOAM CUTTER, IT MUST HAVE A GREAT POWER TRANSFORMER TO BE ABLE TO HEAT SUCH A LONG WIRE, COULD YOU TELL ME WHAT POWER IT IS ? I WOULD SAY THAT IT IS MANUFACTURED BY YOURSELF, IS IT CORRECT ? 😃
Very cool what did you guys use to first prime and fill the surface
Amazing work !!! How long did it take to make the VAN ?
I like your work and new subbed
Now that's what we like to hear 😉 welcome aboard!
Very cool work, and I am a keen follower of the videos ... Can you tell me the name of the material you use on the foam and gives you durability and strength .. Thank you
We usually use glass fibre, or in this case, a 2 part plastic mix (not massively strong, just a thin shell) fibreglass is much stronger
Where do you get your big blocks of foam from? I can’t seem to find a place that sells foam blocks this big 😔
As someone who is just learning about this kind of thing, I was just curious about one thing. In this specific scenario, would it have been possible to rent a van and do molds of it section by section and avoid having to carve one out of scratch? Not saying it would have been the better way to go, but genuinely curious if possible? Thanks
Trust me Joe. We said to them the exact same thing. We actually said...... Why can't you actually just get a real van?.... For the amount of time it was on stage they could literally have just driven an already existing wrapped van in 😂 but hey! Without the commission, we wouldn't have made this project and video! Silver lining and all that 🤣
What you guys put on the end to cover the styrofoam ?
Does anybody know where I can purchase a big styrofoam block??
Great job.....
All that sanding and not one respirator
You guys never use projectors to transfer an image onto a block of foam? Saves a lot of time.
Hey Mark, we do indeed. Sometimes, a projector can throw an image a little out of proportion by the time it starts projecting the wider areas. So for something like this, simply drawing it by referencing an image is just more accurate. For something smaller, we might though. Thank for the comment!
25 mins in.... I get a 5 second Ford commercial...
🤣🤣🤣
Where do you order these huge blocks of styrofoam from?
Give the scenery dock at Pinewood Studios a ring, they would probably be only too glad to give you an answer.
Can I make home from it
Why not just buy an existing VAN?
As some one with a theatre background, I can see this being much cheaper and easier to use on the film stage than ripping everything out of an existing van to make it light enough to maneuver on stage. there is also the issue of safety and storage and disposal.
Because then we wouldn't have a project to share with you guys. Duh! 🤣
