I’ll say it again & again, if you don’t like the original mix or original still exists. Someone always isn’t happy unless they are criticizing everything. No one wants changes. People are critical & extremely close minded. This is why the dance world is stuck with AutoTuned Fake Singers & 3 minute mixes.

I once had a friend who was a "working actor" in NYC who paid the bills in part by performing at rich kids birthday parties. He entertained at Diana Ross' kids birthday parties at her home in Connecticut. The woman does have an ego the size of Mt Rushmore apparently. He said her home in CT featured an exact replica of The Oval Office in The White House. Said she was a bitch on wheels but paid very well.
I have always loved this version, rather than the faster & shorter version done by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell. The slower version was awesome, but this remix is totally radical (a great mix and I love the non-vocal parts.)

The original tune has a romantic sensuality, a sincere expression of love and appreciation for a loved one. To have that beautiful arrangement reduced to this loud, "shake your booty" thing is way off point.
