If you haven't noticed yet, One Direction doesn't really do collaborations with other artists on all their Albums only when they disbanded.
I mean they collaborate with other writers but they don't have features on their tracks...

@@kchris5849 actually they’re right. When they were writing the song they were messing around and I think Liam sang I love kfc instead of midnight memories. The lyrics sort of developed from there and then it later got changed to midnight memories instead. It’s true because we’ve got an audio clip of it. The change my mind lyric was just Niall and Liam messing around on stage once.

let's go to some facts about this album: Louis "fired" the guy who made the songs for them, he was not so comfortable with the fully pop sound anymore, and decided to start writing more for the band, so much that most songs on the album Louis and Liam wrote. Louis has a lot of pop rock and britpop influences (oasis fan, AM and a few more) so he tried to put some of that on the album. Louis said in an interview already, that as he had few solos in the band, he would dedicate himself to writing, and thus he became the greatest composer of 1D. (curiosity: Louis was the richest in the band, he lost that post because of all the donations to charity he ever made).

Sooooooooo Diana is about the fans actually, like in the verse "I speak a different language but I still hear your call" the part of "front pages of your pictures, they make you look so small" I feel like is more about actual fan pictures. And there was/is a lot fans that suffer of depression, and doesn't have very supportive parents and relatives, so this was for them too "if I could would ya swear I would never put you down".
Don't forget were you belong is song written by Niall for the fans too.
So a lot of love for us, and that is one of the reasons why I still a directioner 💜💜

Georgia Rose is actually a name of a fan who won a contest on the radio and got to spend a day with 1D. When she introduced herself, the boys told her they liked her name, and apparently they REALLY liked it because they ended up using it in the Best Song Ever. :)

A fact about Alive, if you change the pronouns, it becomes an LGBTQI + song. Louis wrote it. And he has a lot of songs that can be interpreted for the lgbtqi + community, and that's beautiful.

Liam recently told us that he got the idea for better than words when he was high and they named the song better than words cause that was the only lyric not a song title. He and Louis co wrote the entire song.
So the chorus is harry and others because the others are in the backing for first part and normal for others.

In my concert they used to play midnight memories before it started as an ad and that was the reason i literally lost my voice. Imagine singing Harry's scream multiple times at the top of your lungs. Worth it

They still have this pop-rock pop-punk influences on the rest of the albums, but Midnight Memories is the one that stands out the most. Love the channel! X
This album its just a lot of fun and puberty energy 😂. You'll notice in Four that even tho they still have a fun side, the lyrics are so much more like deep, and then there's MITAM where you can really see their mature side. I really hope your enjoying the journey!

Louis was at the bottom of the credits list, meaning he PLAYED A PART in writing it that was very small, most likely just the melody and chorus
It's the best song ever because they are having such a great time out with this girl that whatever song was playing was automatically the best song ever even though they can barely remember how it goes

I’m not gatekeeping in the least, we’re always accepting new members into the 1D fandom to join the sadness and waiting but I feel like you should do your research. Like there’s so much that has happened in these 10 years. So many inside jokes that make the albums feel more personal. And the 1D fandom is legendary. We leaked albums, we know blood types and birth times and even hacked security cameras! I feel like the nuances can be lost on you if you didn’t go through all of what we did. Also if you remember the video diaries from xfactor and beyond you qualify for a veteran discount in the 1D fandom.

The fandom always had their theories on Diana. Some assumed it was about princess Diana. “The front pages are your pictures. They make you look so small. Fun Fact! Liam wrote better than words and most of the lyrics are songs because he thinks the best way to express love is through songs, hence the name "better than words" which i think is so sweet (which you already found out but yeah :D)
Diana is supposed to talk about fans who don't speak English as their first language. That's why Louis wrote "I speak a different language, but I can still hear you calling."
Strong and Through the Dark are kind of the songs I skipped before because I have some other faves back then but now, I'm a big fan of those songs and part of my top-tier one d songs

fun fact: They were pretty high when making better than words, and Liam got the idea (on the toilet) to make a song with just titles of other songs...so thats what they did. They said if they couldn't remember it the next day then it wasn't worth remembering.
