- Thursday’s Great Utah ShakeOut served as an annual reminder to all of what could happen when "the big one" hits the Beehive State, and how Utahns can be ready and stay safe. Some, though, don't need the extra coaxing. Andrew Adams has more.

I wish I had the money for that guy's prepper vault.
Seriously however, I have CERT training, a Ham Radio license, Wilderness Medical Training, Fire Department Experience, and I'm a volunteer with Adventist Disaster Response.
BTW, Angelica Smith, do realize the guy with the vault is probably Mormon, and he is simply doing what Church leaders have advised their members to do from the very beginnings of the Church. I have NO doubt he would help others in an emergency as much as he is able to.
Bruce Forster Just purchase a little at a time. I purchase preps on sale and never spend more than about $15 per pay period. It adds up quickly.
@@mrs8792 I just came off an extended illness, lost my two biggest clients, have no job and $3.00 in my pocket-God's Truth!
I'm 65, Two Stents in my Heart, a Diabetic, Mennier's and Aspergers Syndrome. I have a LOT of challenges! But we have 4 Weeks worth of fuel for heat, 4 MONTHS worth of food put back, JUST enough Solar to light the House and run the Ham Station and I have a job interview this evening. The one thing we are NOT is hungry, THANK GOD!
@@bruceforster3709 Just curious how you're doing now, 6 months later. Did you get the job? How has covid affected it and you? I hope you're doing well and weathering the storm!
I would never take advantage of someone like this. I would want to trade and exchange lessons and info with them. I probably know more about food, book and electronics preservation, but he probably is better with medicine, etc. And maybe they learned how to grow one crop really well, while I learned another. I don't believe in stealing. I believe in trading.

If you can afford it, also prepare for a world where the collapse doesn't happen. You can never be 100% sure what the future will bring. Maybe the real estate and 570nk5 will continue to grow and the value of the preps diminishes because we never really hit that rock bottom...
Don't like to assume, even if I'm quite pessimistic about the future. So, I do have a lot set aside for other scenarios, and even precious metals for an in-between scenario, where we turn into a third world country with hyper-inflation, but we don't ever really hit that full apocalyptic rock bottom.
I am amazed that he would give his name and show multiple views of his house… Perhaps even his house number… I hope he’s OK. I’m sure he did the interview hoping to encourage others.
THANKS ANDREW AND ALL THE REST OF YOU GUYS AND YOUR INFORMATION FROM YOUR FRIENDS IN OREGON
I know from what I've heard from some of my Mormon friends, the LDS church encourages their member to be prepared.
Very true
But over 90% of the LDS folks are like everyone else-paycheck to paycheck & little to NO Preps. I have been told this directly by MORE than one Bishop!
Time to cover this topic again!
I carry three things on my person at all times:
A Flashlight, A Multi-Tool, and a Pepper Spray.
Thanks for sharing this video. The info on prepping is good.
Just seems like very little water storage compared to the impressive food preps at the first guys place.
Now they are all prepped and ready
TheMarkedWolf Sure, and now everyone knows it! 🤣
Excellent!!
Satellite comms to! You need a satellite phone or a garmin inreach
6 months worth of toilet paper is all you need
