I only saw Doddy live twice. The funniest 10 hours of my life. You know a great comedian, when you actually hurt from laughing, too much. He was brilliant.😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Ken Dodd was such a natural talent, with instinctively perfect timing. He had a genius for working the crowd, he knew how to take them with him, and keep them in stitches all night.
I was lucky enough to see him live and I have never laughed so much in all my life. It's true what they say about him over running - I don't remember what time we left but my sides & face were aching from so much laughter.
Ken had number one hits in the 60`s/70`s beating the Beatles to the top I think once . He invented the Diddy men from Knotty Ash which children loved back in the day the day Dickie Mint was a favourite and he had a vent doll of him . So Mr Dodd was an all rounder ... he had something for everyone .
Ken was the ultimate genius and gentleman a word smith and to me the best and funniest comedian there ever was❤️♥️👌he broke the mould, god bless him,we know he will be entertaining loved ones in heaven 🙏
Grew up with this timeless comedy by one of the best but 50 years later hearing him sing is a long overdue treat . Onya Doddy to you and The Diddymen.❤
What a massive massive talent he was absolutely brilliant and dearly missed an absolutely talented legend I bet he has heaven in stitches as he did on earth
i met him twice by co-incidence in my home town of Liverpool where he lived. he just talked to you as a normal person would on the street. wonderful man. unique comedy, he knew what the public wanted but boy could he sing too. i think he was in the charts in 1960's.
His respect for Dame Hilda Bracket, and Dame Hilda calling him "Kenneth", as a lady of her era would, Patrick Fyffe's wonderful attention to the smallest of details.
My brother went to see him live, he said he never laughed so much and yes he over ran. I miss men like this wished I'd seen him live, the woke people have spoilt comedy, he didn't swear which is rare these days
I was very fortunate to see Ken perform in 3 live shows. I have never laughed so much. He was such a joy to see .... and yes , his shows did run over...... we nearly missed the last train home after one show !! A true legend indeed, much missed
I was very lucky to see this genius at The London Palladium on two separate occasions in the 1960’s. I believe he was an ad-libber. He often joked about his tickle stick
I cry with laughter every time I watch this. An IQ of about 188 is my favourite .. between you (the audience) of course .. 😂❤️xx Kenneth is simply brilliant !!!!
Dear kylie the uk miss you so very much 💓 It was nice to see you at the 02 in London. Uk is still your second home . Lots of love and kisses Kylie ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💘
Born in 1983 and growing up in the 90s for TV was the best comedy, drama, gameshows, movies it had it all. Ken was on fire more jokes in 5 mins than anything in today's stuff. Its sad because everyone in that audience i watched something from them in my life and quite a few are no longer with us
Ken Dodd divides me - I liked his fast comedy delivery, his pacing was perfect, his timing was superb. On the other hand I detest his politics. A Margaret Thatcher lover, supporter of the tories, and an income tax dodger. At least his comedy will provide a better lasting memory than his politics.
@@Bungle-UK Because it is the truth and the truth can hurt. Ken Dodd was a great comedian, but his flaws should be displayed as well as his talent. If this was a liberal comedian, with Labour party members in the audience, I bet that would have been picked out

Fantastic Ken, so so sadly missed R.I.P.
Rip what a comedic , brilliant man .
Doddy was a maestro of comedy. Regardless of politics, he was marvellous.
Sitting here in the USA on New Year's Eve and laughing myself silly. Had NO idea he could sing like that, though....

Gosh 30 years ago now 😱😱😱 wow time flies
this comedy special is what got me into liking legendary comedian, and its been like this since 2020
Simply the greatest...
I went to hear him live back in the late 60s, we had to leave early to get the last train home! We'd already heard two and a half hours!

I will never forget Ken speaking to me in Ayr...May he rest in peace.❤

There is absolutely nothing on the planet as funny as this, and there probably never will be!
BRILLIANT

i love the part where he asks molly sugden a question, lol, it never fails to have me in stitche,s lol,
Simple comedy for simple people....
You're very humble.
Love Ken, I read last night he left £27.7 million in his will.
He got married and saved the tax man from getting £11.million.
Well done Ken.
Fiddled the tax man one last time for good measure. Good on him HA
He gave plenty to the Tory Party and Ian Smith's regime.
My mum's friend was a diddyman up and down the country when a young girl, she only has very nice things to say about KD. 👍
Genius
Most of these wonderful stars are no longer with us sadly xx
He's from my mum & dad's time but I must admit, when this was shown on TV I pee'd myself laughing all the way through !
Kendodd was the best
What fabulous comic timing and what a singing voice. Saw him twice, both very long shows, it's no joke 😂
Truly one of a kind.
Comediabs of today take careful note of the Master.
Wonderful talent without a doubt. But sometimes Ken went so fast he crossed himself out coming back. R.I P.
He wined two very one two be happy when he pasawy and not sad hope he's happy in heaven now
ken dodd a 1 of abs fab 👌 👏 👍 truly funny man 👨

His comedy was great,we wont see his like again. So what if he was tory,i dont care because he always cheered me up and does so even now!
Why isn't he swearing? All modern comedians do. Like looking back 200 years when the word innocent still meant something.
Mirthmaker in chief...bar none
I don't get the joke about the cat and the pencil sharpener.
Jeremy Beadle gave him a big hand
Is that Judy Cornwall from the navy lark in the audience? She played hyacinths sister in kepping up appearances
Yes. Well spotted.
The entertainer's entertainer.
Rest in peace ken
Omg..😨
Who are the women in pink 6.34 in?
The Beverley Sisters

Funny, I am not too keen on his comedy, but I adore Thatcher and all she did. How diverse the world is!
There is no law that says we have to pay income tax.
It's voluntary... That's why they thank you for your 'contribution'...

good clean fun

Reason you think it's unfunny because today's generation can't manage unless it's full of sex and swearing.

The only gag that made me laugh was Ken's face , which also made me gag 🤮🤮
