I just made a double batch of these this morning and they are scrumptious. I do love oats, but I am very picky about how they're prepared and these were wonderful. I even like the thin size it makes it easier to transport even more so than a muffin. The family and I are going to the zoo on Friday and these oat bars are coming with us. 😊
Hi Randy, You can use any kind of apple, although Granny Smith would be too tart in my opinion. I took mine on the airplane and put them in an airtight container, and they were good for 3-4 days. Although it didn't that long. I also froze a couple in sandwich sized ziplock bags and they were fantastic when I microwaved them for a few seconds.
