I can see the mosquitoes darting in front of your camera as you walk, they look huge. Your August garden is looking lovely. The coneflower in front of the black lace elderberry look so nice together. The deer and fawn are so sweet!
Glad you are on the other side of Covid, go slow, especially in this muggy heat! We have been blasted with heat, humidity and mosquitos. Your garden looks just beautiful, so many textures and colors, it is lush! As always, thank you for sharing your artistic flare and garden talents,I need more Allium!👍❤️Gail
So glad you’re feeling better 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤ it’s happening in my family too😷 You’ve been missed. Take your time getting back to us…I enjoyed looking at your videos over and over. Thank you for sharing.
I sometimes wear a veil on my hat to keep those annoying bugs away. Fortunately I haven’t been attacked by a teradactyl yet. I’ve got many of these plants in my garden after being introduced by you. My fav, Pinky Winky. Glad you’re feeling better.
I'm sorry I have not been on UA-cam in a while like they say when it rains it pours but I'm so happy that you're feeling better. Like always a beautiful show of flowers that are gorgeous the plants are really popping their colors.
I think it’s so funny you said that mosquito looked like a pterodactyl! LOL, I’ve been describing the ones around my house “straight outta Jurassic park!” It’s made it very difficult to be out in the garden. So thank you for giving us the tour! Everything looks beautiful! 😊♥️
I've been watching your garden over the last few years and please take this compliment from my sincerest perspective, I think this is the best your garden has looked!! It's always been lovely, however this tour really showed off its growth. Your hydrangeas are amazing and the plants are so complimentary to each other. I aspire to the cohesiveness I think you've achieved this year especially. P.S. I too am recovering from covid. This was my first bout with it and I'm shocked how energy zapping it is. Feel better!!
I put down an old sheet under bushes that need trimming, and after the job is complete, I just have to pick it up and shake it out in the dump pile. It was a game changer for the clean up aspect of the job. I don't have all that raking after.😊 js
I wondered why no video! So sorry for your illness and glad you are on the mend! Humidity was 75% yesterday and can only tolerate 1/2 at a time. Not used to this in Ontario! Your mozzies are monstrous!
So jealous of the downstate precipitation. North west Michigan, zone 6 , tip of the Leelanau peninsula, we’ve only had about 1/2” of rain in all of July. I PROMISE I won’t complain if we get days on end of rain!
Hello Soleil. Glad your feeling better. Try not to overdo yourself in the garden. The garden is looking fantastic for sure. Your lawn is looking great. Ours is about 50/50 ish. Lol. Do you prune the daylilies back when they’re done blooming. The bottoms can look so dry and knarly. 🌾. Take care! 🌸🌿🌺💚
Your hydrangeas are just beautiful, do you give them special fertilizer and do they all need full sun?. Love the huge hibiscus. Beautiful back yard. Thank you for the tour.
My 1st shrub that I planted is a hibiscus 🌺. I was gone for 2 days and the squirrels 🐿️ that live in the big tree in front of my house ate all of the buds on the hibiscus. I was soo mad. I just planted some fragrant plants under and around it. I hope that it works 🙏.
How do you keep your stone edging so clean? I can’t keep the grass out of mine Love your garden . Absolutely gorgeous. We had a momma deer give birth in front of our garage 😂. I had to keep my car in the driveway for over a week .
Hi Soleil, when your daises are finished blooming do you typically just dead head or do you Chelsea chop? While I love the fresh blooms of my banana cream daisies they don’t seem to last for very long and I really wish I could get them to re-bloom. Your garden is looking so beautiful 🙂
Lovely gardens as always! Whoa, that's a monster mosquito! I haven't seen that big since we lived in lake country up north in MN. What is the name of the plant with curled leaves by your pool at 5:25? Glad you're feeling better. I wish all the best for you!
i saw you have pig squeak by the irises by the house. they so heathy. what's the trip for them? do they need lots of water like hostas or less like sedum?

Thank you, Alice! 🙂
SOLEIL, TIP: I ALWAYS PUT A TARP under the hedges I trim. Makes clean up easy.
Your garden is truly beautiful, great job !💐
Soleil, I think the garden looks gorgeous, best ever over the years. ❤😂❤

Thank you, Gail, I agree the humidity has been pretty relentless this year. Stay cool!
Wow! I thought that was a butterfly or bird. You need major Dinosaur spray for those mosquitos! 😢
Between the mosquitoes and heat and humidity I’ve really struggled to get motivated to garden. Glad you’re feeling better.
You and me both! Thank you for the well wishes!
Just gorgeous. ❤glad you’re feeling better.
Thank you! 😊

I usually just try to keep them fresh looking by combing out the dried up leaves, but I don't always keep up with it as much as it needs it! Lol
Your hydrangeas are just beautiful, do you give them special fertilizer and do they all need full sun?. Love the huge hibiscus. Beautiful back yard. Thank you for the tour.
The paniculata hydrangeas can grow in part sun as well as full sun.
❤ thank you share it’s a beautiful garden❤

I have never heard of that before, thanks for sharing!
How do you keep your stone edging so clean? I can’t keep the grass out of mine
Love your garden . Absolutely gorgeous.
We had a momma deer give birth in front of our garage 😂. I had to keep my car in the driveway for over a week .
We are working on a video to show how we do the edges of the rocks!

Your garden is looking so beautiful 🙂
I've been trying both methods and I haven't decided on one, but neither seems to get me much in terms of reblooms....
Lovely gardens as always! Whoa, that's a monster mosquito! I haven't seen that big since we lived in lake country up north in MN. What is the name of the plant with curled leaves by your pool at 5:25? Glad you're feeling better. I wish all the best for you!
That's the Tianshan Seven Son flower shrub. Isn't it unique? I love it.
@@Suburbanoasis It sure is - Thanks!
Your hydranges are just beautiful ,what formulation is the plant food?
I use flower tone or holly tone or whatever espoma organic food I have on hand maybe once a year in early spring.
Hi. Love the stone edging and was thinking of doing same but concerned about the maintenance of keeping grass trimmed out of it. How do you do it?
I have a video I am working on to show what we do, it's just been slow going, but will get it out soon!!
How long have you been working this garden? It's beautiful.
I've lived here for 20 years, but have been gardening more in the last 6 or 7 years as my son got older.
Nice🎉
We are also experiencing a lot of mosquito, to the point that I can't even remove weeds.
🫣
i saw you have pig squeak by the irises by the house. they so heathy. what's the trip for them? do they need lots of water like hostas or less like sedum?
I find they do well without too much water.
@@Suburbanoasis thank you. Do they take off quickly or slow like a hosta ?
@northrupmj they are slower growers.
Taradactal…lol 🤣
😂
