  • Fender guitars are an important part of Fullerton history. Ever since 2006, the Fullerton Museum Center has had an entire gallery space dedicated to Leo Fender, the famed manufacturer of electric guitars. In years past, the gallery has provided an in-depth look at the man behind the music through personal items and historical artifacts. Now, in partnership with Fender Musical Instrument Corporation, the museum has created a new interactive exhibit, Building Guitars, Making History: Fender Stories, which features recent interviews with past and present Fender employees.
    Special Thank You to:
Kelly Chidester, Aimee Aul and the Fullerton Museum Center
    Background Music:
    "Stay Fabulous" by Marshall Crenshaw
Available on the album: the 9 volt years

At least you could hear her and understand what she said. A lot of other videos are worse in sound and intelligibility.

I grew up in Fullerton so I know the streets mentioned... Raymond and Princeton. Next time I am in Fullerton I will visit the Fender museum.

Lap steel. Not peddle Guitar. There are no peddles on Leo’s early lap steel guitars.

Leo was peddling all sorts of instruments... including lap steels but maybe not pedal steels with pedals? :). I'm pretty sure she was referring to the paddle shape though.

Narration: we can barely understand any word you are saying. There is so much noise mixed in with the voice, it's ludicrous. Better luck, try again.

I noticed that too. The music isn't necessary and is obtrusive. Plus not enough focus on the other projects and subjects in the collection - too incomplete.

This is poor video making. What's sad is that this is a very historical site and filmed as if it was a day at the post office! Too fast and not a lot of the other things there being filmed in their entirety. That woman narrating the tour sounds almost as if she's afraid to talk. I wish someone else would've filmed this instead. A lot of it is missing better information - too incomplete.
