Just an idea guys, when you make a rock wall sort of thing like you've done, before planting the grass maybe sprinkle concrete powder over the rocks to cement them in place so they can't get washed out in the future. You'll have to make sure the concrete is well and truly cleaned before planting otherwise the lime and other stuff in the concrete will kill the grass. Great job both of you. Seeya Rob
That would be pretty convenient. We might go down that path once the grass is holding everything together nicely because it's what we have available in mass quantities for free and need a quick solution. Things like Mint/Chamomile/Thyme look like good options to stabilise slopes but it all takes time to grow, and then there's the challenge of the heat from the sun and lack of shade. Maybe if anyone else reading this has grown erosion preventing herbs you can let us know what's good in a subtropic climate ? :D
Technically yes 😅 it doesn't have the same ring to it, I mentioned that in description it's been naturalised and it's everywhere so 'native to your local area'
Enjoyed that👍 ground cover is the key. Plus the more you can slow water run off down the better.

Hey Rob ✌️ yeah that would make it even more effective!
Great work guys ! = Love it
Thanks plowestory 🙂 a lot of projects happening out here. Happy new year to you ✌️
Have you considered getting goats to do lawnmowing ie eating all that grass
we'll need some kind of grazing animal for sure, it's just the challenge of setting up all the fencing that's holding back that dream for now :)
Could one grow herbs in the area instead of grass

Paspalium urvillie native to South America. (shown in your screen grab) So don't you mean locally predominant exotic grass.
