You know how hard is to find people to play a M3 dungeon? even for those who like the enjoy the game alone doing only pve with no friends or guild, it is impossible to find people at that lvl, the group finder was a joke, the dgs are fine, but its the lack of people and some bugs that make this game so fckng annoying. I appreciate the effort you took to take clips from the previous dev videos to make it clear exactly what expectations were and what AGS committed to before the past week of announcements. They've taken so many efforts to try to hide the game's history, whether by closing & deleting the official forums or re-branding the game with a different title, and I suspect they thought that switching to a video-only format would make it harder for people to point to their failures/lies.
Videos like this are important so that potential players can make an informed decision about whether to invest their time & money in any game run by this studio.

AGS: we have some great new featues for PC: "Updated QoL, Solo, Updated QoL and we are really excited about the new updated QoL items we have added."
The summer event could come out in Oct. That sums up New World's Dev team perfectly.

Thank you. I mentioned this in the discord post and had some dude argued with me what a roadmap is... like a roadmap is used in development to show what resources are being allocated to create... not features of an "unreleased" game.

Once Human is a freaking blast. Demo is out now and the full release is July 9th. I won’t be back to Dead World. Their “End Game” is a straight joke lol Solo Soul Trials and 3 raids total? Oh and the first 2 trials mean absolutely nothing lol
You can't even call Wyrm and Hatchery a raid. That's just boss fight and trial with waves.
Its worth to play the demo or its just a open beta test that will have progress reseted before launch?

I’m still new to the game started a couple weeks ago and honestly only have experienced a few bugs which I just reload and fixed outside of that I still think the game has so much potential and going forward if we can make it to next year on the content coming out I have high hopes. A 10 player raid feels really good because here’s the thing it’s probably a test to see how it does and boom maybe we have 1,2,3 10 man raids or maybe they use mutations to make it more challenging i can get behind that. Console release is still very positive it opens up the player base more and hopefully ups the demand for content and qol I’m going to stay positive here and hope for the best
You gotta move on from this game. No better way to highlight their failures than their top streamers moving on. This happened to WoW in BFA & Shadowlands and now the game is actually improving.
Amazon will just pull the plug before that would happen

That's typical of mmos, having a gear chase with annual gear resets. Keeps the game fresh. But most games will do it when they add content. Re-farming 725 by doing all the same old content isn't going to create much excitement.

I’ve moved on from New World as my main game. Still play it on the side occasionally because the PvP combat is still unmatched. Let’s be real, this game/update isn’t for the current 7000 concurrent players, or roughly 30,000 monthly active users. They need new money. This is the only chance they have left to redeem their project and the game studio as a whole. Hoping they can get their heads out of their arses and actually deliver quality updates with real content from here forward. Doubt it. We’ll see though, I’m not holding my breath.
Bringing in consoles with 30% of global video game sales is a good move from a sales aspect and at this point it is the right one to bring in new players. I haven't played in a few months and will probably jump back in at launch to see what's what.
I think its dumb to have players wait two years for mounts then they release it as a DLC for money grab

The only thing i learned in this video is that new world is solo game and they came out with some more stuff for solos to do that leads to absolutely no progress or satisfaction. They just repeat the same questions and answers over and over. Same answers for every single question.

I think the biggest miss with the change from MMO to ARPG is, they can spin this as no longer a live service game and justify slower updates and slower content drops.

I understand the trust isn't there with the player base but idk I'm kinda excited to start a new character and play with all of the new players from console and hopefully a large scale of players coming to the game. I remember how fun launch was when the game first came out.
For how much I liked the beta. It’s crazy to go back and watch this.
Just imagine if other professions worked like this - like farmers or medical professionals or people that work in transportation... like "just wait 6 months and well have food or help or something for you" then 6 months later this is all they have to show. this is just sad - was a good game, but they are dragging it through the mud with lies and laziness.. After a year, I gave up on New World. I'm tired of being a pre-alpha tester for Amazon's next Lord of the Rings/Middle Earth MMO. I'll just wait for that to come out.
I'm torn. As someone who just started playing the game on PC, the content draught isn't affecting me, because everything is new to me and there's so much to do. But looking at how the devs treat the veteran players of the game makes me wonder if I should be expecting the same thing to happen to me once I'm at the endgame. Huge red flags.
As someone who has played New World since its launch, I've always said that a first impression has a lasting impression. Almost all my friends quit New World due to the horrific experience on launch. I was hoping that when the Beta went live. and Console players got a taste of New World for the first time, they would have at least addressed some of the basic issues that made the game so problematic when it was first released. Instead, all i saw was literally constant comments from Xbox/PS5 Players saying "This game is so laggy it does not run" or words to that effect.
That is what they will remember, that is why they will quit and it is this lack of polish that has driven New World into the ground.
i honestly don't care anymore about how the future NW looks like, i don't know man i played new world for 3k+ hours and i can say that one person that can make me put that much hours into the game is you Baggins, i really love your insight about the game, your build that i often try etc etc, and seeing player that dedicated, honest, stay positive despite all their flaw, passionate about the game be dissapointed like this ,man i can't deny this make my heart aches, i hope you can move on, you're an amazing content creator bro, believe me we love you because it's You, this dev just killing their own game because of their incompetent and dishonest, and i never hoped for someone to be fired as much as this dev.

I’m with you Baggins. I’ve been disappointed every dev update/Q&A basically since launch. I’ve been hoping for a new battleground/OPR map all this time and every “roadmap” has not had it. Idk why they haven’t made one yet, but maybe one day.
Before we drag Scott over the coals it may be good to remember that they are Contractors working for AG, and --> have to work within the client's directions.
That includes them not releasing the 2025 Roadmap until after October. They might well have given a lot more information sooner, but couldn't.

Gear-score increase - Great now I've got to replace everything again. That is a major change. So is making quests repeatable and single-player.
19:57 Honestly I recommend ponying-up for the Angry Earth expansion as it gives access to MOUNTS.
Making the cost of travel no more than 20 no matter where, the addition of more shrines, and adding mounts, made the size of the map how spread-out things were a moot point.
Also frankly the mounts are fun to use, and there's a mount-specific tune that plays when you do.
I stopped playing about a week before rise of the angry earth expansion but when your video pop up I thought maybe I will see something that excites me and make me get back into the game. That didn’t happen.
Devs are not in control, it's so freaking obvious man. The suits are absolutely shitting on this game and on its community. They are just trying to fight a fire with oil and not water. They have no idea what the hell to say, they are being told what to say. You can even see them reading off a prompter or screen lmao. This game is fucked.
Scott's like the guy they pay super well, they call him into an office and tell him the news. He walks out and says fuck me sideways, ima jump off a bridge! And then puts on a face and convinces his team to follow him into oblivion. Tells em oh its not so bad guys, we can make this work! He's making so much money and even though his morals tell him it's wrong the homie has a mortgage and 7 kids.

Given New Worlds track record with fixing bugs. I 100% agree with Baggins, there will be bugs when console releases. There's never been a clean release and there never will be. New World is one of those games where they fix a bug and then it appears again later or it's like they put a wet band-aid on it. I can't imagine waiting this long without any new content though.

The disconnect from their playerbase is unreal, honestly. They kept stringing us along promising a big reveal and all it ended up being was the console release with some small additional content. The raid is obviously nice, PVP zone will be fun for some people and soul trials will be a nice additional daily piece of content but man... it really feels like they took a year off after Rise of the Angry Earth. Brimstone was such an AWESOME additional zone when it came out and we haven't seen anything like that since... sad.
Reworking another zone instead of opening new claimable territory and no changes to territory control means the same 1%er's will drive off 99% of the players within 6 months. AGS is at least predictable.
I no longer play new world, but these videos are pure content 😂

this game is absolutely gonna die and be sold as an offline RPG at some point. 3 years of bug fixing & the most lateral, unimportant updates ever, while doing nothing to improve the game itself outside of 2 expansions. I mean I've gone thru 3 PC's and 4 ISP's and New World still doesn't run properly on minimum settings. I wanted this game to kill every mmorpg out there, it HAD the potential, but come on the devs are showing how little they care about the core issues of why they can't for their lives get more than 5k players on at a time. The audience has almost entirely agreed on a set of updates that would send this game soaring, AGS won't dare touch anything suggested by it's audience. It is what it is, and the game's lifespan & player count will reflect their decision making.
I know it sounds hateful but I love this game so much, when it's playable. when it works it feels almost therapeutic to play. I want to see it pick up on what it truly needs to succeed, i want this game to be #1, but it's likely not going to change to do that.

I clicked on this video not knowing anything about the game rly but the feeling I got immediately is that the devs are fucking petrified (!!!) to talk to their playerbase. It feels like this project should probably come to an end not only for the players but also for the devs lol.. sad to see. Im a Lost Ark player, so I really hope my game can persevere aswell right now, im hanging in there with yall and hope you all can get some enjoyment out of the game you love!
Heya Baggins! Good job as always! Imo they will change the camera view (Scott mentioned it - "camera and navigation") so that the camera view and navigation will be the same between consoles and PC. Which is ... not cool.
Upleveling of CK means that players without RotAE are losing a second zone (1st being First Light) which will only be available if they pay for it a second time.
This New World mmo is fresh, polished and popular. Another mmo similar to this Crowfall. But no one’s ever heard of that game because they’re still underground. Meaning that AGS is at the top of there game right now despite negativity
I just got back into New world. Leveling up again. i am taking my time. Very much difficult to do early level dungeons since no one is doing them. It seems that when the update happens they are creating fresh servers again. Lets see how that goes.
I never understand why devs always screw it up. Is it disorganization or greed or just pure stupidity? So many games get killed by devs listening to the wrong people
When they released the picture with all the content coming, I was of excited. I will come back for the 10 player raid to get the 725 gear. I just hope that the raid is exciting. Also the PvP zone could be very good for the game. Their originally 30 minute announcement was really disappointing tho.

Imagine adding new endgame solo soul trials and limit it 3 per day. They are fucking insane.
There is a Knight Online private server right now with over 1000 players. This game is 20 years old and people still play it. Not to mention the real servers/private servers that hold 150 to 300 ppl daily. New World barely hold that many players on a region/server. Not to mention New World is the better game. I think this game is not being managed the way it should be. The way they lie to players. Don’t update new stuff. People are not asking for much honestly. New PvP zone, more expeditions or raids with better item drops to feel like you’re actually doing something. This game could be huge!!

I admire your dedication. New world has so much potential and I think they're squandering it. I hope that they can fix it just in time to replace the leader of the new world team. They need someone who has more experience in mmo's
It really makes me sad to say that I think this game was doomed to fail from the start. When they moved away from it being a survival game and then last minute decided it was an MMO. I really think New World would have taken off as "Rust but colonial america with magic", instead we got this mess that struggled to ever really leave the ground. It's a real shame :(

The fucked it with rise of the angry earth, no one wanted an existing zone changed or to pay for mounts.
All they had to do was release a new zone each year with one or two new weapons, and more PvP modes.
Instead they wasted time on vertical progression and fixing problems they caused

I enjoyed the leveling experience for the most part when I played but my issue was lack of varied endgame content and world population aswell as truthfully game breaking bugs
