Fan Racially Taunts Opponent During Championship Game

- During the championship game of a girls high school soccer league, a fan racially taunted one of the opposing players with monkey chants hoping that they'd make her miss the penalty kick. Earlier in the shootout, the opposing goalkeeper, who is Hispanic, was met with dog barks, and the refs did little to correct the gross situation. Rick Strom breaks it down. The referees need to be dismissed from any future games and the high school needs to be removed from any future playoffs.
Make it a ruling in any sport. If fans perform racial heckling towards an opposing team. Their team will automatically be disqualified! Fans are a part of the team.

Oak Ridge high school coaches and administrators are pieces of sh-t. Kudos to the kids that stood up against these racists.
I know this school, and supposedly they are holding the person responsible. What that means is left up to the imagination. I encouraged my child to shame this person for being a complete ass as a human.
This is deplorable and not something I ever would tolerate of my child.

Happened years ago at my brothers wrestling match. A bunch of us jumped a heckler and his parents on the way out. They never tried it again after that

I'm a soccer ref myself and this makes me mad I would never tolerate racism on my field I'd tell the administration that all those fans need to leave sorry but one guy can mess it up for everyone else
Everybody who was at that section of the stand knew exactly who did it but no one would speak up and that's the most important time to do it don't wait until after to say something expose that individual right there, the only thing necessary for triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.

This is my son’s high school. Closer to home? No. AT home. Oak Ridge needs to suffer some consequences, some sort of censure. I hope Oak Ridge leans on that student for these unacceptable actions.

That happen at a high school in California at a boys soccer game too. Sanger high school and de la salle high school they were calling the Latino kids “juan” and also telling them if they wanted a burrito. Just sickening “ racists “ people.

Give the referee a bullhorn and tell the stands if they make those chants...noises again then the whole group / stand will be leaving while they finish the game.

When I was in high school and someone made a racist outburst, they were banned from all school events. And if it was a student they were kicked off all school teams.
These teams being discriminated against LITERALLY need to leave, forget playing these racists.
That would be just but it would be marked as a forfeit on the team that opted not to play.
Such behaviour should lead to a forfeit. Repeated behaviour to suspension for several seasons or even expulsion of ALL sports teams from the offending school... give them time to sort it all out amongst themselves without the hassle of having to compete.

The school put out a statement saying it was an "unprovoked outburst". They never admitted in their statement it was racist comments being yelled at players.

I got monkey calls on me in high school when I played ball…I just wet harder. Every time I scored a basket I would look over to tat section and start imitating a monkey…they stopped…but I kept going…everytime I score after that. And I had 37 so…yep!

There is an established 3 point protocol for referees when dealing with racism from the crowd. It starts with a public announcement requesting the racism stops. The officials came up short and then some.
