It came factory in its actual ''Garnet Red'' dress with black stripes. The body & paint are in immaculate condition. The paint has a mirror like finish, fit of the panels are all very nice. All the original Z28 and Rally Sport badges were reinstalled after the full repaint. The undercarriage is in absolutely spotless. All the glass is original and in good condition. The aluminum trims are original/restored, in very good condition without dents. The chrome bumpers are original rechromed. The only sheetmetal that was replaced is the driver's side door skin.
The Z28 came factory with a high revving 302ci engine with solid lifters and dual quad holley carburators also known as ''Cross Ram''. It was rated at 290hp but owners found out it really produced around 375hp on the dyno. This 302 was fully rebuilt to original specs less than one year with a more agressive cam for higher horsepower and nice lumpy idle sound. It actually has around 375hp. The transmission is the original Muncie M22. The rear end is a 3.73 Positraction, this is the original gear ratio, also rebuilt less than a year ago.
The suspension, direction, bushings, ball joints and bearings were all renewed during the resto. The power steering system has new lines, rebuilt OE control valve and power steering pump. It also came factory with front disc brakes and rear drums.

Serious Inquiries Only, No Trades, Thank You!
Dual carbs, I was already blown away then the hood opens. To own this car I would be so happy I wouldn't need not a single darn thing inmy life.
Some folks enjoy looking at a Picasso or a Rembrandt, but I would rather gaze upon this car all day long!
You can't get inside a painting and drive it down the Pacific Coast Highway or wherever.
Wow!
She looks n sounds great!
Beautiful.
Not a word spoken maybe the person had no tongue what a joke so much could have been said about this awesome car
Don't worry, I have been standing next to this car for two weeks at mecum kissimmee to speak with hundreds of people passing by. And you're right, a lot of things to say about this awesome, all matching numbers and rare optionned Z/28.
What is your asking price?
Sounds like it has the chambered exhaust from the factory...........
Nice, but where’s the bumper??
It has the Endura Bumper option, basically a steel bumper covered with a specially formed closed-cell urethane foam that was bonded to a steel frame and was painted body color, the Firebirds and GTO also used their version of the endura bumper.
How are them vacuum headlights working with that cam mine didn't work at all
Most likely a vacuum leak somewhere in your system. In my experience I had defective vacuum actuator canisters twice on three cars. Easy to change, but takes a bit of work to reajust and make sure the doors stop at the correct position when closed with a repro part. Had to slightly slot holes in the bracket holding the canister for headlights to have a nice ajustment when closed (done after the video).
@@longtinautosport with a 539 lift 292 duration cam barely pulls 12 in of vacuum at 1,200 RPMs not enough to open the doors or the brakes have a vacuum can for the brakes but couldn't do anything more for the headlights so I went to Detroit engineering much better setup
@@johnpaulmierz6978 you're absolutely right. I had 3 of these and I always thought it was quite funny that GM installed those vacuum operated headlights on engines that barely make enough vacuum at idle to operate them. They will open at idle, but very slowly. If you give it a bit of gas or open them while driving you won't have any problem. I have another video that I made for BAT to show my potential buyers they were functionnal, but I have to rev it to 12-1300rpms.
What’s the price brother? Don’t keep us in suspense. If it’s sold, then at least give us a range it went for. Some of us are in the market for one of these and may be shopping around.
Well north of 100k I imagine.
Better find you a Boss 302. Or all your gonna see is tail light’s
Hey boss you won't make it to the starting line 😊
