I always saw the semitransparent dinosaurs as the ghosts of the past being played over a modern sunrise, they used to walk the same ground we walked on and that's crazy to me.
There are only two groups of people: 1. Those that think of the lion king when they see the sun rise 2. Those that think of walking with dinosaurs when they see the sun rise. I’m usually against superiority... but in this case there is no question about the inferior group

Spring 1999: Seven years old me had no idea what he was about to witness for the first time. He had no idea how his entire life would be shaped for what came after this intro.
I owned the full season on VHS when I was younger, and watching this brought back some crazy nostalgia. I swear the opening to this show is one of my earliest memories.
This show, The Land Before Time, Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park III, and Disney's Dinosaur were all part of my childhood love for dinosaurs. And I would watch them endlessly.
Came here as soon as I saw the news of this show returning next year. Man the kid in me mentally screamed seeing the news. I hope a new generation get the experience and feeling I had when this was on. Keep this theme and bring Kenneth Brannagh back for narration.
When I saw the sunrise in Prehistoric Planet's teaser all I could think about was this intro and felt disappointed when I didn't hear the dinosaur scream at the end.

I still love that oversized Liopleurodon. 25 meters Liopleurodon may have never existed in real life. But 25 meters Liopleurodon will always exist in my heart
God. What a classic. This series of documentaries, the whole walking with series, was a goldmine and such a huge part of my childhood! My god. Iirc chased by dinosaurs/sea monsters were also parts of it. Prehistoric planet (the original although the new one is fire too) and prehistoric park were fantastic as well! Without a doubt one of if not the #1 most iconic opening to any Dinosaur documentary show considering that it sounds so dramatic and suspenseful. Add to the fact that it was used for the opening of that show makes it even more iconic and unforgettable.

I had this movie on dvd because I’ve always loved dinosaurs since I was a child. It was one of the first things I owned when we came to America and I watched it literally everyday and was on repeat for our 12 hour drives to Colorado to see family. My parents must’ve hated it lol
I always saw the semitransparent dinosaurs as the ghosts of the past being played over a modern sunrise, they used to walk the same ground we walked on and that's crazy to me.
Never thought of it like that. Cool summary.
damn
I always saw semitransparent dinosaurs as the ghosts too
I always thought of that as a kid based on how the intro of New Blood talks about the dinosaurs.

*NUMBER ONE:*
Stegosaurus, Liopleurodon, Diplodocus, Ornitholestes, Ornithocheirus, Eustreptospondylus, Dromeosaurus/Dakotaraptor and Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Dakatoraptor wasn't discovered when WWD was made, from what I remember it was a Utahraptor they used.
