  • Here's a hair tutorial on how to dutch braid for beginners! A lot of the hairstyles on my channel include this braid, so I thought it was about time I showed you how to do it!
I wanted to make this braid easy to understand and learn how to do. So whether you're a beginner or brushing up on your skills, you can benefit from this video! A dutch braid is essentially an inside out French Braid, but the hand motions are different. It also creates 3d braids instead of a zipper like braid in a Frenchbraid. I hope this helps you master your braiding skills!

As one of the people who (have tried) and can’t braid well, this is the BEST tutorial I’ve ever seen! It makes sense and super easy steps! I actually managed a (rough) braid on my daughter’s hair.....and this video was how I found your channel too 😁 now I watch all the time haha! I’ve learned so much about my hair and hair in general....maybe one day I’ll be confining my hair but these tutorials help so much! Thank you!

Kayley Melissa Please could you make a tutorial for How To Hide bobby pins in your hair, for hairstyles such as a Milkmaid Briad, with normal braids at the side and pulled over across head, to pin it in place. I can dow the hairstyle but cannot hide the pins in place. So it will really help to learn how to hide pins for different types of hair tutorials

I LOVE your metaphors! For whatever reason, THIS has "dumbed" it down for me in such a way that I can FINALLY start getting the hang of it! I have long hair and have always wanted to be able to do wicked cool braids but have never found a tutorial that explains it in such a way so I can visualize it and recreate it on myself. FIRST successful dutch braid since I tried to start learning how a YEAR ago!!! THANK YOU!!

Hi Kayley! I have no idea if you're going to see this, but I have to say you're a huge inspiration for me... I've always loved doing my hair and I'm fairly decent at it, but you've really helped me expand what I'm able to do and I've tried sooooo many new hairstyles because of it. Also, I just love your style of video and you're just amazing in general.

Kayley!! You are my inspiration too. I used to be damaging my long hair by just putting it in a ponytail every day. After my hairdresser pointed this out, noticing the line of breakage, I explored how to do braids for school. Then I found you. Fast forward 4 years and I constantly braid my hair, I've done formal hair for myself and friends at least 8 times, I've even come up with some of my own hairstyles from learning techniques from your videos. I'm so grateful for your videos. Keep it up!! 💕

I'm a 35 year old lady who's never been able to braid my own hair. I've never done anything to my hair, it either just hangs there or I put it either in a ponytail, or what I have now learned is a /chignon/ (felt instantly 5 times more fancy about my lazy hairstyle once I knew it had a name, lol) - With your beginners tutorials, I really feel like I'll be able to do more with my hair. I did a fishtail braid today for the first time ever with your tutorial! Can't wait to try out more and see if I can actually get the hang of it! Thank you 🖖

Thank you soooo much. Your tutorial helped me out. I've been trying this braid for along time. All the other tutorials don't explain as well as you describe how to use your fingers. Thanks a bunch. Keep up the good work!
