I am continuing my English journey on my own right now, and I must say, I have realized what makes me stuck in my speaking. I received this valuable feedback by taking the opportunity to reflect on my journey and by being very honest with myself. I used my own schedule to do what I needed.
OMG! I found you because my yoga teacher always starts our classes with the phrase: 'Hello Folks!' and, as a native Spanish speaker, I always understood: 'Hello, Fox' hahaha. Anyway, one day I was in front of my computer and I searched: 'How to pronounce the word "Folks" and you appeared first in the search list. I am SO grateful for that. You're amazing, you explain all my doubts and I absolutely love that you're Israeli. My favorite people in the whole world, thank you so much.
For me, having a teacher is a privilege and not having a teacher is an opportunity to improve myself. In that way, l can be creative enough, that demands my diligence , perseverance and focus on my goal.
Yes. Like you. You say everyone have a learning English stage. Someone just start, they don't know what's right or wrong . They just need many listening, reading, writing, speaking. Then they can level up then realized something wrong, this stage they will practice improve variety skills. Thank you for this video. I think I need more time grow up my English skills.
Your videos are so good,I like seeing them when I want to practice my listening, I can get your accent, my big problem is when I am seeing a movie or series without subtitles I don't understand but When I put subtitles I can get everything, some special advice for me?
Hadar, I recommend your channel to a lot of folks I know who are learning English. Much of your content offers great advice for language learning in general. One thing I do for self-feedback when learning another language, after recording a video and listening to myself, is to create subtitles in the language. I always catch more mistakes that way and am able to re-write what would be the correct language and then I practice that - verbally and hopefully with a conversation partner.
Hadar no matter what happens....you will always be a great teacher....you are helping so many people around the world to speak English fluently....I hope you are safe wherever you are....sending you peace from Morocco 🇲🇦
Thanks for your sharing! It really helps me a lot. It has totally changed my thinking and given me a lot of freedom to use English without any rules. It's so glad to have you :)
Hello Hadar. Hi think You bit the head of the nail, when You suggest to use speech to text. In my opinion that's the bestway to have an immediate result of the effectiveness of your speech. I ❤ your enthusiasm. Thank you sooo much!
Hadar, this video couldn't have come at a better time. The content you produce is incredibly amazing! I have been thinking a lot about feedback for a while. As an English language teacher that I am, I think feedback is essential for learning. I agree with you that it is really important to learn how and when to give feedback. However, I sometimes have the feeling that some students have a hard time receiving feedback. It rarely happens, but it does sometimes. It'd be great to hear what you have to say about this topic. Cheers! Love your videos!
Hello Hadar, well feedback is very important to me because it helps me to stay on track and don't carry on bad habits; obviously it must be constructive and not too heavy in terms of its peace.
The best teacher is like Hadar who provides the students with the best tools for the students to be their own coaches! The heartfelt empowerment and effective knowledge transferring are a couple of many key ingredients of Hadar's English fluency programs. ❤️🤗👍
Hi great video Teacher. I am trying to do shadowing with this video, and it´s been a challenge to me. I beleive in a couple of videos of practice I will do better. regards
At least for me, learning pronunciation with speech-to-text tools is too difficult. The feedback from speech-to-text tools is basically overwhelming for me, as you said as one the cons of feedback. Also, for me, it is difficult to improve my pronunciation after getting feedback from the tools.
Receiving feedback helped me grasp how to improve my pronunciation (the most underrated topic in language learning) and had been crucial. Having learned the muscle work of American English (as a former student of yours, dear Hadar), to my surprise (!), my speaking entirely transformed 😀 However, there is no "magic" outside, only within ourselves. Daily speaking, listening, reading, and writing gave me the confidence for English to become part of my identity.
I understand your viewpoint about feedback in language learning, but I have a slightly different take on it. Feedback is essential, and we get it all the time as it's an inherit part of our interaction with the world. When you're attempting to convey a concept and sense that it's not entirely clear to your listener, that's a form of feedback, even if you're not consciously labeling it as such. You get feedback from the people around you all the time when you actively engage in communication. That's why conversation is so much more powerful than practicing by speaking alone. Explicit feedback, as you mentioned, can indeed be a valuable component of deliberate practice and can help accelerate the learning process. It offers a structured way to identify areas for improvement and can be motivating as it provides a sense of progress. The mindset of the learner, whether they have a growth or fixed mindset, is an interesting aspect to consider as it can influence how they approach feedback and learning in general. It's a topic that adds depth to the discussion of the role of feedback in language acquisition.
Hello hadar I'm Angela I'new in your channel, and I'm interesting in your english mindset . How can I contact with you , I have some questions about your mindset. The whole cours cost 29$ or. I have only to pay 29 dollars for all. I'would like to do it. I 'll waiting for your andswer. Thanks for your attention.
A Significant Issue in an Otherwise Excellent Video There's a significant problem in the excellent video. You missed mentioning "parenting." It's vital, though not widely recognized. In our small learning community, we focus a great deal on parenting (and nurturing "parents"). We blend self-guided learning (as demonstrated effectively in the video - utilizing technology) with occasional guidance from external tutors (as you also noted).
Hello mam myself Anoop, mam have watched your podcast videos and I want to trim your podcast video and put it on my channel so that it will also be a backup channel of yours and we will give you 50% - 50% of all the listenings. You don't have to do everything, I will manage it in a way, this will be your passive income, I will just trim the viral parts of your podcast and post it if you agree.
I do not know why you are in such a hurry to speak, how can the student comprehend and understand your words, and I do not want to slow down the video in order to understand you. You must take into account the condition and level of the students and the extent of their understanding, as we are not in America. Thanks any way
I hear you and I completely understand your frustration! The reason why I speak this way is because this is my natural way of speaking and that’s how I’m at my best. If I were to slow myself down, I wouldn’t have the same flow and fluency. I also tend to speak a little slower than native speakers - so if your goal is to train your ear to understand others, this could potentially be a good exercise (and don’t feel bad for not understanding everything!). Anyway, thanks for the feedback 🙏🏽
Hello Hadar, I'm a Muslim from Colorado. I know that you are in Israel and well, we all know what's taking place. Though I do not support your government or my government's choices at all, I pray for your safety and wellbeing as this war expands. 🤍
Im grateful for your message. Much needed during these painful days. My family and I are safe. Thank you. And I pray for the safety, freedom and life of innocent people on both sides every day. And I cry on the many lives lost😭 I hope things will end soon

Thank you, Hadar. That is very true, the brain can not take the feedback if he is not ready to take it.

Grammarly is really great to help you correct your mistakes. I get it on my keyboard.
I thought speaking English like a native was like building castles in the air, but now I have understood that it's doable.
I completely agree with you Hadar!

I love her.
Better without feedback 😊
You can improve even without feedback, but it's way better if you have it.
I understand your viewpoint about feedback in language learning, but I have a slightly different take on it.
