Thank you soooo much. You explained it so well and with demostration, it made it easier to understand. Ive watched several other videos by other people and was totally lost
Jin, I did not understand how to remove the dart. You said "cut this vertical line. I did an stuffed up my beautiful pattern. I was so happy at the start, but I stuck on the darts. I have no idea how to continuous with this pattern. Can someone help me with that. thanks, Maggie
The top I made in this episode doesnhave a waist dart. I made the waist loose. If you want to have a waist dart, then take the side seam in, and make waist dart. Dart end can be 1~2" lower from the apex.
I made this pattern everything except pinching the armhole... The result dress didnt fit near armhole...Now what do u mean by pinching arm hole? Is it same as dart?! For a 3 year old kid how much i should reduce...TIA
What do you mean by pinch out? Doesn't make sense. What english word or industry word do you mean? Delete? Shorten? Please use pattern making "normally" used terms. Sounds like you are misusing this word when referring to a 2-dimensional pattern. If I had a 3-dimensional garment cut and you said pinch then I get it. But your usage doesn't make sense. I want to "pinch out" the armhole????? WTH???? intransitive verb. 1 : COMPRESS, SQUEEZE 2 : to be miserly or closefisted 3 : to press painfully 4 : NARROW, TAPER the road pinched down to a trail You are using pinch out during the whole video. It's frustrating because I don't know WTH do you mean!! TY

How will I make the waist dart?

You can make an actual dart. Or after drawing a dart, transfer to waist or neck. Basically, shorten the armhole length.
@@PatternStudio101 thanks a lot
❤
pls why did you go up at the back neckline
I make back armhole depth longer than the front. But depending on your body shape, you don’t have to.
thanks❤
